I shoot 3-4 times a week pretty much all year, unless it's really cold or we have feet of snow. However I have a bad back and bad right bicep so I only shoot 10-20 arrows per session. I keep a ladder stand on my home range for a change of pace. I have a permanent target that I shoot at out to 50 yards. I also move my 18-1 around so I don't get trained at one position or shot angle. I like to practice weird angles from the stand with that portable target because deer don't always come in where you expect them to.
I excercise daily but shoot my bow every other week, 2-3 doz arrows each session, year-round. As season approaches I'll shoot maybe 1x/week.
30 arrows 4-5 times a week from 10-40 yards? If I am shooting well at 20 I will focus on the longer shots! If I am having an off day I will focus at 20 and work on mechanics!! Sometimes I just need to evaluate myself and I pick up what I am doing wrong quickly!!
I'm kinda like everyone else on the amount of arrows shot each week. The only thing I do different is, starting in Oct. (since my season starts Oct. 25), I do about 1 minute of jumping jacks or run in place to get my heart rate up and take one shot in the morning and one shot in the afternoon, simulating my adrenaline rush. Seems to work for me.
