Forgive me if this is in the wrong spot! Some of you may know, practice can get quite dry (I don't dare say boring). I'm wonder what games you guys play while practicing? Do you have a dart board target? Pool balls on it? Anything else? Just wondering what games you play, and if you know the name of your bag/target I'd love to hear that too! thanks guys.

I sometimes hang Lifesavers from a string and shoot them... or at them at least. 3D shoots are fun... but always seem to be on weekends which keep me way too busy for shooting. Indoor video shoots are pretty fun... I still remember getting buck fever the first time I shot a video Elk that bugled in my face... I was shaking like a leaf and it wasn't even real.:moose:

When stump shooting or just shooting targets in the back yard with buddies we always ended up playing what we called "follow the leader" the first guy pics his shot at the target and then the second takes the same shot, same position, same yardage etc. it always made shooting paper much more fun!

If you have a friend that hunts too you can do this. Climb a tree at the height you normally hunt. Take a 3D deer target and have your friend move it to different distances and then make the shot. You can also turn the deer at different angles to simulate a quartering away shot or broadside shot. You can also cover your eyes and have him move it without you knowing and you have to find it, range or know the yardage and then make the shot. Take turn and you do the same for him. It really is a lot of fun. It will help you a lot when you go hunting.

You use to be able to get a big paper target that had a deck of cards on it. We use to play all kinds of card games with those. We also use to play a game called throw the arrow. You and a buddy would shoot and then go pull each others arrow and throw it. Where ever it landed is where he had to shoot from. Made for some real interesting shots. We also played bust a nock. You would shoot and then your buddy would try to bust your nock and then he'd shoot you'd try to bust his nock. Silly games we played as kids I guess but it made us pretty good shots. If you could bust a nock, a deer was easy.

We'll draw tic tac toe board on paper and play. You have to call your square and if you miss your next shot has to be from a further yardage.

Me and my boys gamble. Per Target or per shot. Gambling makes everything more interesting.

i like to put my target out in the paddock, then just walk to random spots or climb up trees and stuff, then just guess the distance, and shoot, so it helps you with guessing range, and with shooting, and it's not as boring

I like to also walk around the yard and shoot the 3D at odd ranges and angles.

I mounted a deer target on wheels. I used a rope to hold it and then would let go of the rope and let it walk down the hill and I would shoot at it while it was moving.
