Its best to practice with your hunting set up just dont shoot groups and you wont risk damaging your arrows

You should be practicing with what you hunt with. If you only have half dozen arrows just use two or three of them for practice.

^^^^^^^^Yep. And if your afraid of losing some see if you can get a couple hay/straw bales as a backstop.

Thanks guys ,I just lost one from my half a dozen yesterday .It was strange though because I hit the target and the back of the arrow where the vanes and knock is just snapped off and went flying in the air .I have no clue how it just snapped in half ,Even though I hit the target in the bullseye

good choice in arrows, love my fmjs. I bought a dozen earlier this year and down to 7 now. robin hooded two arrows and clipped the nock of one breaking the back of it. Which is a good reason to not shoot groups.

Very true, I buy them in shafts only so Its saves me a little bit of money. Probably pick up another dozen in lost camo this weekend for the season. Theyre great arrows I dont see me ever switching to anything else.

I reccomend you use the arrow you are going to shoot while hunting.

You are not going to hurt the arrows in anyway if you aim at different spots. The only issue you may have is losing them.

I buy a dozen of arrows. I practice with some and hunt with the rest. I practice with 5 and hunt with 7. This has always worked for me. l love the FMJ's.

I practice with the same arrows that I hunt with, the only difference is a broad head instead of a field point (same weight though). I get a dozen, 5 for practice and five for hunting with two to have for spare/backup. Practice like you hunt, hunt like you practice. Good luck.

Gotta love FMJ's! Excellent choice. Keep what you have now for practice, get on to eaglearchery.com and u can purchase a three pack of FMJ's for around 30$. Keep the new three as ur hunting shafts. They're the only website I've found that lets you order 3, 6, or 12 arrows at a time. I'm a big fan of them.

Nope, I recieved 3 FMJ shafts, factory fletched blazers, and deep six inserts. I installed the inserts myself. I made the purchase in early march before turkey season.

I think it was a sale cause they don't have them fletched already for 30 up there now but maybe they will have a sale before hunting season starts , If I could get three for thirty already fletched I will be set when the season comes .

I don't think there is any problem with shooting different arrows all summer as long as you get several practice session in with your hunting arrows before the season starts. I have FMJs for hunting and use Cabela's Stalker Extreme arrows February-August just for practice. Then for the whole month of September I practice with my FMJs from elevated positions and with my hunting clothes on. Seems to work for me fine and I don't have to worry about anything happening to my FMJs all summer. Make sure that if you do this, you make sight adjustments if needed, different arrows even of the same spine may have a different points of impact.
