    buck's potential

This is my third year hunting. I've shot two does. My neighbors and I are trying to let the little ones grow so my questions is.... What kind of potential does this buck have ?

Thanks. With only the four tines I was wondering if that is all he'll ever be. I'm hunting with gri22ly the first week of Nov and thought if I'm not successful there, maybe try to take him when I get home if he's not going to turn into much more.

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't have a problem letting them walk so they can grow. Just wasn't sure about this guys potential. I'd like to shoot my first buck but not just any one because it's a buck .Does that make any sense ? I'm thinking it will be a "I'll know it when I see it" thing. Here he is with his buddy ( he's in background of first pic) who I'm hoping makes it a few more seasons. :D

if ya like him and want to shoot him, do so, you've been at it for 3 seasons, best of luck on getting a buck down!

I commend you for wanting to grow bigger bucks without ever killing one. I don't know anyone personally that has done that. Most folks get a few under their belt before that mindset comes into play. Do what makes you happy, and most of all enjoy it! Good luck on that first buck !

Re: potential on that buck...he has no potential to be better if you shoot him, however he will also be your biggest buck ever if you do :D
(no way to know what he will turn into, though he does have pretty good mass for a young deer)

WV...I think it's cause I'm old (46) and blessed with patience. :D I just don't see shooting a little buck just cause it's a buck.
