The thread explains itself......not sure what the outcome of this is going to be but with a couple other guys now finding what I saw I don't think this will end up being random or isolated.

Hopefully it will be an easy fix and not a chronic problem............still waiting on an answer from anyone involved with Bowtech.

Atlas - We are still waiting to hear from you what dealer this occurred at. You originally posted about this at 6:44pm 2x days ago, I sent a PM to find out more @ 9:01pm that same day, and asked what dealer this occurred at. You still haven't provided us with the info we need to look further into this.

Tough to look into when we don't know where this bow is. If you could, please return my PM so we can look into this.

Thanks for the clarification Matt. It's a sweet looking bow, I'm just not ready to part with my Drenalin yet;)

Haven't checked the AT thread, but I'm sure it's a frenzy and over something that had a very simple answer. Thanks for the digging Matt.

AT IS a Martin site any chance they get to go nuts over any bow that is not Martin they attack:D

I could show a picture of a BT or Hoyt with a photo shopped crack in it. Four pages later it would explode into BT or Hoyt is harboring Bin Laden:cool:

Corporate is saying the tolerances are very tight but didn't answer why the cam is crooked.

I'm uncertain of where you found people saying that a cam was crooked. Can you point this out to me?

Crooked may have been the wrong term, but thatcam isn't centered. I don't think anyone can argue that point.

If by crooked you mean off-center, just about every bow's cams are off-center on the cableguard side.

The bow is designed to have the cam in that exact position. This allows you to get true centershot through the limb pockets and down the riser, yet still have the right limb deflection on both sides of the limb forks. There is no manufacturing defect with what you have pictured. This is pretty common with most manufacturers for Binary style, dual, and single cams.

Below are a couple pics to confirm this.........

I had a problem with something on a bow years ago and I mentioned a dealer.......when I went back the guy started yelling at me and saying someone from Bowtech called and they were going at it pretty good on the phone........This uncomfortable tension carried over between us as I felt like a kid stuck in the middle of parents fighting.

I now have to drive almost an hour to get to the dealer I currently use............and I like these guys so I hope you'll understand why I don't want someone behind a desk in Oregon making my life difficult for the second time.

It was really the most unprofessional experience I have ever been involved in.............early in the game for Bowtech and hopefully they have corrected the way they "handle" problems.

Thanks for posting that Matt............I sincerely hope it is true.

The bow I saw the marks on was not changed at all from the factory...........the DL was still at 29 so apparently this was a "heavy handed" bow builder??

A question I have is how or why are so many guys recommending a twist in one side of the cables to fix this problem if Bowtech says the cams simply cannot hit the limbs?

It didn't look like a simple mark in the in velvet to my eyes...............but it certainly wasn't a deep gouge or anything either and I couldn't feel the cams scraping when I drew or shot.

Like I said from the start.............I saw it going in and it made me nervous, these marks now make me REALLY leary, but I said I would give them the benefit of the doubt and I will.

I am working this week so no shooting for me............I will put a bunch of arrows through my bow next week and see what happens. I have no marks on my bow as it sits right now............if that changes after I shoot a bunch I will certainly have some more questions.
