Who says it is the left that is for legalizing pot? I think most libertarians would agree with those liberals. I actually don't think the pot debate is political party dependent at all.
FACT: I have made waaaaayyyyy more bad decisions in my life while under the influence of alchohol, than while under the influence of marijuana.
You've got to understand that we were once like you and now we've got the years of experience behind us that you don't have as of yet but God willing you will you then you'll be called closed minded for voicing you opinion based on your years of experiences. Rouge governments always go after the youth because they are easily convinced they know it all.
Really drugs are an inanimate object as well. We just choose to use it for different purposes. Some people use it positively. Some use it negativity.
I've never seen a gun kill anyone. It's always the person behind the gun. If a person uses a gun unlawfully, then there are consequences. The gun does not change the way they think, it does not impair their judgement. Drugs do.
No one will ever be happy with the direction the country is going. The purpose of legalization isn't to say smoking weed is a good decision, it's simply to say that a decision (good or bad) that renders no bad results shouldn't be punished. If it helps, take "weed" out of the equation and insert any other thing that someone might want to do that is currently illegal that doesn't hurt anyone else, such as "buying a big gulp in New York". It's a principle thing, not a weed thing.
Guns do alter peoples decisions. We would reduce gun related crimes to 0 if we took them away. Guns make people feel invisible when they have them. Guns in fact do alter people's state of minds
Pretty sure nobody's arguing that bad decision while drunk are any better than bad decisions while high. My guess it they will go hand in hand. Compounding peoples problems.
The drug is inanimate unit it is ingested, at that point it alters your perspective. Pretty sure that's the whole point of using drugs.
You do realize that crime, accidents, deaths, etc have not, and in many cases, have actually decreased since CO legalized weed?
When you were in school did you think it was OK when the entire class got punished and missed recess because one child acted out, made a bad decision. Same principle
Sure it does. Punch me in the mouth while I'm holding a joint and I'll probably fall down. Do the same while I'm holding a gun and I'll shoot you Honestly, I don't really see the problem with legalizing pot. I've never smoked pot, most likely never will regardless of any law. But the people who want to smoke, already are. Why not legalize it, take away the black market, and tax it?
Your seriously going to give me a stat with a sample size of 7 months? Anyone that understands statistics knows you can't do that.
So how long would you like me to wait? I guarantee that the stats will not reflect anything different...
And I really just want Sky and Afflicted to admit that they are in favor of the nanny state and big government. I want you both to say it.
