It has everything to do with personal freedoms. You being "pretty sure" that our society doesn't need more mind altering substances in your own personal belief. And yes, there are ways for field testing. And if/when it is decriminalized nationally, the field test will only become better and more efficient. There will be an arms race between companies trying to perfect the tests for the government contracts. Free markets are a great thing. But I do agree that as soon as you abuse your personal freedoms and harm anyone else or their property, you lose that freedom. The penalties for these abuses should be higher.
I just wanted to spark something by saying Sir Richard Branson is one of the biggest pot heads in the world and I think he is a pretty motivated guy. Also, Who is the more dangerous driver out of these Pot head, Alcoholic, Elders (80+)? Just something to think about
Yes! It really seems trivial with all that is going on within the borders and around the world. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good for him. That's one guy. Who knows what he might be able to accomplish if he were not a pot head. As for dangerous. I'm not advocating driving drunk. Or old people driving that shouldn't. These should not be happening either, so I don't feel like we need to add to the problem.
If people want to smoke pot or drink toilet bowl cleaner I say go for it. Just don't do it around me.
wave a bag of funyuns in front of their face. if they are high, they will maul you for them and then demolish them.
I'd appreciate you not changing my statements and leaving them in quotation marks as if I said that!!!!! A personal choice to get in a car and drive drunk or stoned is that same as a personal decision to pick up a gun and kill people with it. The tool, whether it is a car or a gun is not to blame. The person that made the choice, whether it was because they were drunk, stoned or mentally disturbed is still to blame in either. What your really should be saying is we should take the car away from everyone because someone might drive drunk and kill someone else. Your analogy is just wrong.
Liberal mentality: We need to legalize marijuana because we need our personal freedoms!!!!!!!! We need to make big gulps illegal because we have an obesity problem in this country and people can't make good choices!!!!!!!!!
....and we agree on that. But the keyword in that statement is "choice". The freedom of choice is a magical thing. Choose wrong and you lose those freedoms. Choose right and continue living freely.
People are going to smoke, why don't we just legalize it and actually make some money on it for this broke country.
Good for them. People raise a fuss over a substance that is being prescribed to help treat serious illnesses... Yet are not doing the same about cigarettes that are responsible for more than 480,000 deaths per year in the United States.
I agree that is hypocrisy but that game works the other way too Conservative mentality: We need to keep marijuana illegal because people cannot make good choices! We need to have easier access and less restrictions on guns because we need our personal freedoms!
People still have the choice to smoke weed right now. It's available on just about every street corner in this county. Legal or not. We don't need to make a bad choice a legal one.
