Your right, we don't need laws to mandate behavior. We can repeal all of them. Some of my favorites are burglary, armed robbery, assault, rape and murder. Those laws don't allow us to be free, and damn it we need to be free.
Acting like a little whining baby again. Never once have I stated the things your stating nor did I say that other drugs should be legal. Just that marijuana I'd basically on par with cigarettes and beer. We're on two different wavelengths because you don't reason or use logic, much like a liberal it's all how you feel regardless of the evidence presented to you. Simply put, marijuana is better legalized to gain some money and have leo focus their money and efforts elsewhere. Not that there should be no laws.
You do realize distracted driving is the worst in motor vehicle accidents? We should take out all audio players, kids, eating in cars (I believe it is illegal in some states but no one follows it if it is). It should also be illegal to drive if you're stressed out because that impairs your ability to drive.
The difference in opinion is that I believe drug users do affect others and their property, and you do not. That is basically why we have such a different view on this. Sure, there are some drug users that don't do things that will affect others, but there are plenty of others that do.

Debates are fun. The key to good debates is for the parties involved to try to remove emotion. Don't lock a thread because a handful of posters cannot remove emotion from their posts. This has been an amusing thread. My favorite is when the one dude claimed to be a Libertarian, yet believes pot should be illegal. Classic. It should be legal and regulated like alcohol. It should be taxed, but not excessively to perpetuate the continuance of a major black market. Look at tobacco, it's being taxed so heavily in places like Chicago that it's created a huge black market.
