I guess you are right, people can be arrested for alcohol possession. The only ways to accomplish that that I know of are being underage, contributing to delinquency of a minor, and moonshining.
Don't know. Don't care. If it doesn't affect me or my property, I'll vote for them to be able to do it.
Well yes, clearly if you are under age, on parole, probation, or otherwise breaking the laws surrounding the substance, you can be arrested. BUT you are not being arrested simply for possessing.
Sure many, many, many, different forms also. Has no weight in this conversation IMO. FWIW you are debating a guy who spent 2 years working as a roadie for bands like SCI and WSP. lol The point you are trying to make is moot.
I like the idea of each individual state making their own decisions regarding the legality of marijuana. More states rights and less federal power is a good thing.
Maybe the gov should outlow caffeine in order to protect us from ourselves since it is mind altering? Many of the most successful people I know enjoy smoking pot occasionally or even on a daily basis. Weed doesn't ruin lives....people do that all by themselves with or without it
Not quite sure how skywalker wants a smaller role by government with more laws. It's pretty counter intuitive but hey what do I know other than common sense
Read my post again. SMALLER FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You see, there's a thing called states rights. It allows the states to makes laws that directly affect their citizens without the federal government regulating everything. If you want to comment about my posts, you should at least quote me and take me off ignore. I'm also not asking for more of anything, just continuing to enforce the laws that are on the books. I'm all for the federal government making it legal, but leaving it up to the states to decide. Right now it is still federally illegal. Would somebody please quote this so chopayne can see my response since I'm on his ignore list, yet he want's to quote me anyways./ Sheesh......
Heck, we probably have 10,000 illegal immigrants in my county and the federal government doesn't do a darn thing about it. I suspect it is the same way in most places. Why the heck would they mess with a states right to legalize marijuana when they cannot even protect our borders?
