Admittedly it’s a weak point. And I don't believe it for a second. But it would be better position than they are taking now IMO. Healthcare working as it should. Now that is funny.
Incarcerating people for breaking marijuana laws already cost a fortune, legalizing it could save tons of money in that aspect.
So tell me this, lets legalize it and get down the road a few years. Now it's basically equal to alcohol and cigarettes. People have been using for several years now and it's kinda lost it's luster. There's really no thrill, no feeling a getting one over on the man. What are they going to turn to next to get one over on the man? What are they going to use to get that thrill of doing something they shouldn't? It's a serious question, and don't tell me people don't think like that.
You reallly think that is what motivates people to smoke a bowl??? Getting one over on the man?!?!? C'mon now
I won't pretend to know how that would work out, in a perfect world higher costs for insurance would accompany the choice to smoke it.
Everything can't be legal, again you would have anarchy. I know you might actually support this, but I don't.
I'm sure there may be some cost to the public. But so is there for most other things. Ok, done playing devil’s advocate.
We are not advocating for everything being legal. We are advocating for it to be legal for people to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't affect other people.
Anarchy is zero laws. I just believe that if you can do something to yourself or to your property and it does not harm or affect anyone else or their property, then it should be legal. You abuse those freedoms, then you lose those freedoms. That is not anarchy.
Alcohol is legal and people are in prison, kill other people from using it and break laws everyday associated with it.
But those people aren't in prison for possessing alcohol or using it responsibly. They made blatantly poor decisions while under the influence. Marijuana is far less likely to lead to that behavior than alcohol.
People are arrested for possessing alcohol. No proof marijuana will not lead to that behavior, many think it will. It will still be a controlled substance like alcohol, just controlled less.
