Spring gobbler in 2005 on public land in Mississippi. Only public land animal (besides ducks. It was my heaviest gobbler to date. He is the breast mount on the wall

My last public land animal was an 8 point I killed with my muzzy back in December 2007. That was also the last deer I have killed...

I don't have any pics on my work computer.

I'm having to make some assumptions here and they are that since this is a bowhunting forum you mean with a bow and I'm also assuming that you mean big game so here's the #2 archery feral reindeer of course, only 3 have been entered  :moose: !

Pretty much this whole state is public land so everything I've shot up here would qualify.

Here is mine this year...shot him on November 11th, 2008 I believe about 30 minutes before dark. I had gotten up at 3am in the morning and on stand by 1 hour before daybreak. I hunted hard in the morning and saw nothing. I hunted for 4-5 hours then came out of the woods b/c I was exhausted. I was about ready to go home but just went and got a soda and moved my stand to another location about 5-6 miles away. I was happy I did and got a decent buck that day.

2005 Michigan stateland Oct.27 morning. It is still the only buck to date that I filmed in velvet and then went after and killed. I saw 4 times before the great day and I kept moving in on his bed until I was about 50 yards from his bed and killed him. Walt

07 buck, hunted 3 seasons. Found set of his sheds, trail cams, two close calls, one in which he bedded down in front of my stand at about 80 yards one evening. I had to cow elk call my way out of there to not spook him. One other night in low light I let him walk by at less than 25 yards broadside.. He was a very old buck, going down hill. He had arthritis and walked like an old man.

sheds and head mount of him below.

I took a doe off public land last yr, but that was with a gun. As for a bow, it's been a few yrs, but it was a spike.
