You are a funny man! LOL!

I will post this one too since I claim part ownership as it was killed from the same tree as my buck 10 days later. Hey... What are friends for right????

I'd find a different taxi.... Even Picasso didn't take that long to paint a master piece. You had to be almost first, if not first in the queue with a Sept. 20th harvest. That is the exact same day I harvested my buck and I had mine back before Christmas.

I am like a kid in a candy store. I want it... I want it right NOW!

In that case I can post this one:

Blade. 4 years chasing him. My brother got him with a rifle from my stand and I watched him die 20 yards from where I was sitting at the time.

ya...it's been a tough wait. Once i see the finished product i'll make a decision if i should find another one. i think he waited till the end of the season to send in ALL of the hides to get tanned in one shot.....kinda sucks because like you guys said, i WAS the first one in.

First, this wasn't with a bow. Got it with a shotgun. But I'm very proud of it!

And no, it's not hanging in the garage now, that was when we stopped at the in-laws to show him off.

There are two things that taxidermist doto maximize their return. Wait to send their hides off in bulk . 2. Order their forms/supplies in bulk.

I am fortunate as my taxi runs a professional tannery so I never have to wait. It's really comical when you think about. A good taxi can knock out mounts really fast. From start to finish their isn't more then a couple weeks in the process and that with drying time ext.... So in the scheme of thing 9-12 month wait time to me is ridiculous. Almost as bad as ordering a bow from Mathews. LOL!

This is the one that I let walk, had him at 20 yards and 25 yards within 12 hours. Ended up having a reproduction done of him.

The 14 pointer I took in November with bow, I just got back this evening actually and don't have any pics of it. A bit disappointed in how it turned out. My taxidermist has been having a lot of serious heart problems with his daughter and I'm sure was pretty rushed to get though work that's piled up on him. This mount is a bit wacky looking, like the mount was way too small for the cape and so he hemmed the cape to make it fit and now the head size is wonky. I just paid the man and left with the mount, if I decide I can't live with it at some later point I can have it redone with a new cape and some pics of the actual deer before caped out. It's not all that bad.
Edit* Here is a pic of the new 2013 bowkill
