We've been working on a little project to educate our customers and the archery community in general. Each day we get asked alot of the same questions over and over again. This makes me realize that the info I take for granted is not common knowledge among everyone. If you have a bow string related question feel free to post up. No matter how basic or advanced you feel the questions is please share. If you do not want the question on the open forum feel free PM me or email at [email protected] and I'll be happy to help.
Less questions, but some thoughts. String twists, why, effects, and when to say when. (Re)Serving, how to.
Ok I have a question I'm getting a new string on my bow pretty soon and I'm not sure what kind I should have, I would like to have one that gives a little better speed since I'm going with heavier arrows this year but want to make sure it is still a good string that will last for two seasons without worrying about my peep twisting every time I go to shoot my bow
Ok here's the problem, I'm so old I can remember when the they used sinew for bowstrings. Ok, maybe not that old but I definitely remember Dacron and the stretching issues it had. Then I remember in the '80s Hoyt came out with the fast-flight strings that were not supposed to stretch. They did over time, but they still stretched. Then I remember the introduction of Kevlar strings and the expense that went with them. So tell me, what is the best (for the money) string material out there? There seems to be so many different types and ridiculous claims floating around that we don't know what to believe anymore. Blessings..........Pastorjim
