I don't have my panties in a bunch but maybe it is just me but if I need meat for the freezer I can go out and shoot a doe pretty much at will in Wisconsin with all the state land and people I know shooting a doe isn't that difficult. I don't see why people need to shoot something because it's there, this deer made a long trek and who knows more might come behind it. Do I think mule deer would thrive in Wisconsin; NO but why not let them try? That presumably traveled here on it's own free will just because some government agency states it's not native to that part of the country doesn't mean it hasn't been here before or be here again The 48 states are all connected animals tend to cross into other ranges so why can't we give them a pass when they do? Again I stated my opinion and does this guy shooting this deer personally effect me? No! I just don't see the need to kill this deer, as for albinos and piebalds at one point in my life I would have killed an albino if it was legal but it wasn't at that time and for the piebald I personally passed a doe 4 times just because it was cool to see but if it was a buck I would probably shoot it if it was big enough. There are a lot more piebalds and albinos then mule deer in Wisconsin.
Some guys in this forum need a trip to the woodshed. Bunch of little brats on here. Queue the moron that tells people not to post if they don't want blah blah blah. Every forum has at least a bakers dozens of those.
Well I see you're off to a great start here. Making friends and taking names. Personally speaking I see nothing wrong with him shooting this deer. The guy is out deer hunting and it's a deer. Why not shoot it? Isn't that what we're in the woods to do?
There was an elk shot here several years back, think it was in Morgan county. They think it was an escapee from a farm. Because elk are not regulated by the state the hunter was legal in taking it. Pretty sure it was a younger kid who shot it. Cougars for the longest time were legal to kill, unless an eastern cougar which is federally protected, due to the same reason. Cougars are now regulated so can't kill them here.
You mean like this? In your own words; Thread: Hero Photos Thread by TheRiverBottom Replies:102Views:1,897 This might be a shocker....but no one on the Internet is impressed enough by you to follow you. I know...ego deflater. If you don't have anything photography advice related, move on. end quote....
Congrats to the hunter! Its his trophy and its legal. Good Job man. At the end of the day we are out there to enjoy ourselves and nature. And if Mule deer are truly meant to thrive in Wisconsin then they will.
Cool story, bro. I'm guessing you found them in mom's purse...not behind dad's woodshed*. But, I'll take you at your word. Got any with Kramer? Feel free to private message it. uh
