Dude I am really not trying to nit pick or offend but all you post is quoting people and saying this. Are you just trying to run up your post count or what? If you want to add your opinion then state it, don't try to run up your post count by posting the minimum amount of letters. Trust me i did that for a while but found there was a lot to learn and share so. This place isn't for running up post counts, it's for sharing info and opinions. If you have meaningful input say it we would all love to hear. Just my 2 cents.

What they do is up to them. If the board had voted 7-5 opposed but the avg member supported it 60/40 then it would be an issue of leadership overriding what the majority wanted. That's not the case.

I don't use illuminated nocks. I also don't belong to any of these trophy hunting organizations. I have my own personal & historical reasons for that. Personally, the more stringent their rules the better.

Sure, I'll just enter him in B&C. They allow lighted nocks. :moose:

I'm surprised they allow entries in from guys that used range finders. Now there's a tool that give a hunter an advantage.

I've been bow hunting for 35 years now. I've shot a lot of deer in my time and never needed a lighted nock to do it. Shot my second P&Y last year. I hunt farm land and spent 4 days last year looking for my arrow in a bean field. Yes I wanted the arrow back but mostly I didn't want it to end up in the farmers tractor tire. A lighted nock would have helped and I wish it would have passed but I'm not going to loose any sleep over it because it didn't. White crested arrows work just fine for me and the club doesn't frown on that. Just takes a little longer to find your arrow.

Although I think it's silly to not allow lighted nocks...it's their rules like it or not. Never once have I gone hunting thinking about shooting a big buck to enter into a book. Use whatever equipment YOU choose that YOU think may help YOU while staying legal.

If people don't like the rules start your own club and to hell with P&Y!

4 days looking for an arrow, if you had a lighted nock, worst case scenario you have to wait till dusk. Nobody needs a lighted nock to shoot a deer, it's just a tool that helps after the shot. Locating the arrow, seeing the impact point. To me, those advantages outweigh putting my name in some book.

The bone on my wall would be sufficient for me....I could care less about books....if it happens to be a world class buck type deal where i could put a few thousand or so in the bank for my family....then thats like winning the lottery in our hobby to me and i would be all over it.....no chance and not happening obviously but thats the only time id even think about a book

Peakrut, a hunter is not required to become a member to enter an animal into the book. Anyone can join even if they have no animals in the book and anyone can enter an animal even if they are not a member.

I don't really agree with disqualifying kills with lighted nocks, but then again I don't really care either.

What I don't understand is why everybody cares in the first place... If lighted nocks are your thing then don't try to enter it into P&Y. Does having somebody else say that your deer is a big deer somehow make it a bigger deer? If you want to get a P&Y buck then shoot it the P&Y way.

For clarification I am not a member of P&Y nor do I use lighted nocks
