I had 6 jakes at 3 yards the other morning. Trust me I almost shot one in the head. But I have 5 toms that I've seen a lot of lately. They're just call shy, blind shy, and decoy smart thanks to the neighbors that hunt everyday and call like crap. Makes them extremely hard to hunt with a bow.

Dont forget Bryan Mazur passed on jakes twice at the decoys. His father Paul and sister Brittany doubled the first morning up. I think he wanted a tom too! Dont blame him, we had nearly 40 birds in the field that afternoon. I am after them again friday morning pending weather. Have the bale blind up on the family farm. Haven't hunted it yet this year. Getting a big lone tom on the stealth cam periodically. With all this wind tonight, I hope my blind stays put! SUNP0410-2.jpg

Yeah buddy, I was extremely fortunate enough to hunt a great location. We slipped in on them twice as they roosted around us not long after light we had birds running into the decoys. I absolutely love the avian decoys i had a jake and two hens out and they never spooked not once they actually hung out in the decoys for a long time. I am debating weather or not i should go back up sunday to try for a third bird...........
