Here are some videos from my newest homebrew cam, a Sony H70. I really love this unit.

Very crisp video Jim. Homebrew video camera? Did you link up an actual video camera to sync with your trailcam unit? Thanks for sharing.

Homebrew cameras are regular point and shoot cameras that have been modified to be triggered by a control board that is all mounted in a waterproof case. This particular unit uses a Sony H70 camera that can take stills and video clips. It's really not as hard as it sounds and the pics and vids you get from these units are outstanding.

The flash didnt bother that one in the last vid one bit, but that sound you can hear sure got the fawn in the first to look like it was about to get murdered..lol

Do you look for pawn shop cameras or try and buy new from stores or the net?

Most of the cameras used are discontinued models such as the Sony P41, S600, P32, W7, and etc. I look for them in pawn shops, craigslist, rummages, and wherever I can find them. The particular camera used in this build was a Sony H70 which is a current model. I bought it off Ebay, reconditioned.
