I voted covert but I can only base my opinion on what I currently like and use. I prefer them over bushnell but they are a close second for me.
Unless you have used all of them you cannot say what is the best. Reconyx are regarded by many as the best but at $400+ each I will never know.
AS said its what you have used its between colvert and moultrie for me i like black flash its hard to bet colvert flash but moultrie has a better night picture then as said its JMO

Only ever used hoembrews and Coverts. Happy with both, but for longevity (proven) and picture quality, the nod goes to homebrews.
I have used moultrie, cuddeback, stealth, WGI, Bushnell and wild view cameras over the past 10 years. I would have saved money and stress if I would have bought a Covert sooner. This is my second year running Coverts and I don't see me changing anytime soon. Great cameras with top of the line service.
I have owned 7 of the 10 you have listed and I think it's very hard to say which one is the very best, hands down. They all have their strong points and weak points. I will list the ones I have owned and list the good and bad. Covert: Excellent daytime pics and fast trigger speed. The bad; Detection range of the sensor is wider than the field of view of the camera, causing the camera to trigger without a subject in front of the camera. Rating: 8.5 Stealth Cam: The ones I have owned all take excellent day and night pics. The bad; Very slow trigger speed and recovery time. So so detection range. Rating: 6 Bushnell: Fast trigger speed, Large detection zone. The bad; Sensor detection zone wider than the cameras field of view, causing blank pics. Daytime pics to dark, poor night pics. Rating: 7.5 SpyPoint: Haven't owned Leupold: Haven't owned Wildgame Innovations: Haven't owned Cuddeback: Fast trigger speed. The bad; Smallest detection zone of any camera manufactured, poor customer service, battery compartment problems. I could on and on about them but I won't. Rating: 5 Homebrews: Great day and night picture quality, very fast trigger speed, great detection zone. The bad; Can be finicky to operate, limited features. Rating: 8 Reconyx: Great day pics, trigger speed second to none, recovery time second to none, largest detection zone in the industry, detection zone matches cameras field of view exactly, ensuring you get fewer blanks. The bad; Price, subpar night pics. Rating: 9 Moultrie: Excellent day and night pics, good detection zone, good durability. The bad; Average trigger speed, night flash can be too bright, average customer service. Rating: 7 Blessings.........Pastorjim
Wildgame Innovations have proved to be a piece of sh*t for me with the bad pics and the horrible battery life and misses half of the pics that my covert red 40 will take
My vote is for the Moultrie, namely the M-880 Haven't used anything else comparable but considering price they kick the snot out of the Coverts overall. The star rating page in that first link given above has Moultries rated just above any coverts as well and the price comparison is listed on the chart.
Can't answer comfortably because it all depends how you decide best? Picture? Price to Quality? All around? If all around I'm a Covert guy all the way, absolute best bang for the buck I've found!
I like Covert...All I can about is seeing what deer is on my property each year. As long as its a decent pic i'm happy....lol. I will never own a reconyx...but I can't seeing paying that much. I also like my wildgame cameras...I got two Red 6's that i've had in the woods for two years with no issues.
I have used Moultries, Buck Eye Cam, Wild Game Innovations and Covert. Covert has them all beat in my book for reliability, easy to hide and great picture quality cameras.
Only true if you're looking at the best cameras in a certain price range - say under $200. If you're looking for the best overall camera then it should be regardless of price. Much like if I want the best car money can buy, or I want the best car under 30K. It's all relative.
Fair enough.... So unless you have more money than you know what to do with, value plays a part with everyone... If I could get 4 Coverts for the price of one Reconx, I am going with the 4 ...or 3 (depending on who you know)...but that is ME...I don't need a cam that will do more than the ones I am buying...and I will be buying more
I run Moultire M-880's. They have been great and I have really never had a reason to try anything else.
