I think every brand is great that is available now... I think it is just a matter of personal preference and feel / comfort... each and every one will kill a deer just the same.
Martin...... but I voted ELITE.. I really don't think there are any bad bows built now as far as high end models, it just boils down to preference.. I have a buddy who hunts on a nationally syndicated show and is sponsored by Mathews, but he really likes another brand better...
Walked into the bow shop around my house and asked the guy his opinions on all the new bows he said I know what bow you would leave with the new prodigy or the no cam he said he was disappointed when he shot the new Hoyt and the carbon Hoyt's are way overpriced which is a shame. I can't really pick just one company. Both of my bows are BowTechs right now, but I like the HTRs, and am really considering picking up a Nitrum Turbo as well. BowTech, Mathews, Hoyt, and Prime are my four favorite companies.
I'm a Bowtech man, but I have to say that Hoyt makes some bad a** looking bows. Mathews definitely knows how to advertise, but they can't touch Bowtech or Hoyt! Not trying to start a fight, just my opionion. If you don't like it, don't ask!
This is 100% correct. I'm not an expert on Bows by any means, but I'm thinking this day and age if someone out there was really producing a piece crap Bow, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be in business anymore. It's all a matter of personal preference. It's the old Ford, Chevy, and Dodge debate. For the record, I shoot a Hoyt. Chevy's, and Dodges all suck. LOL Guess what I drive?
The correct answer to OP's question is "yes"...all of those forementioned companies make great bows, there is no better company out there. There are however, bows that suit individuals better for their personal needs as shooters/hunters, and the one that fits you best is what you should be shooting regardless of brand. I currently shoot a mathews Z7X and at the time, and still to this day I think it's one of the sweetest bows I've ever shot...that being said, I'd have no problem shooting a G5 prime defy, hoyt carbon spider, or bowtech carbon overdrive...those are bows I've loved from passed seasons while shooting at pro-shops and would have taken home with me had the wife allowed it.
. Thats the whole point of the thread. There no right answer. All i wanted to see was either a backed up arguement or a blow out poll.
I voted the manufacturer that has suited me best for quite a few years. Doesn't matter which one it is. I do get a chuckle from some of the comments about there being so many good bows out there to limit yourself to one brand. There are a lot of great bows out there today, half of which the majority of hunters have never heard of. I shoot six or seven different brands every year and always go back to what has served me well. SCFox
Yeah, I'm pretty much with you Todd. I shoot a lot of different ones but always end up with one of two brands.
