The new Like/Dislike system actually has some pretty cool features we'll be implementing in the next couple of weeks. When someone Likes a post it gets a +1 in a scoring system of sorts. When someone Dislikes it there's a -1. We can set it up so when a post gets to a certain score, let's say +10, it can change color so people know that it's popular. Likewise, if a score gets to a certain negative value we can automatically collapse it so it's not displayed in the thread without clicking a button to see it. Of course there's some potential issues with the Dislike feature so we'll just have to make sure it's not being abused. As I said earlier, it's a VB plugin so it won't work in Tapatalk. We're thinking about getting away from Tapatalk in the future and going to our own mobile app which may allow some additional features and functionality, but it's not 100% for sure yet. We're in the middle of rebuilding the rest of Bowhunting.com right now so that's taking a lot of our time. I doubt anything happens with a mobile app until the new site launches sometime mid-2014. All joking aside, PT is the one who spurred this on with this thread so while we may be busting on each other a bit he's the one to thank for making this happen. As they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Or banned in some cases. :D
Are you looking at your posts or someone else's? You won't see the Like/Dislike button on your own posts.
He's looking up in the upper right under the post count. If you expand that drop down, there are categories for likes and "thanks." I'm not 100% sure on the "thanks" portion, either.
I have the "Thanks" portion of the plugin disabled. I felt it was redundant to have both a "Like" and a "Thank" button side by side. However I'm not sure I can remove it from the section that shows how many Likes/Dislikes you've given and received.
Fixed that for ya :D So let's here it for PT! :D Seriously, you guys that thought I was upset gave me a good hearty laugh this morning
Haha that might take a little bit but I'm sure JZ could get it done. He got all this done, whats one more thing?
