I don't blame you, Sliv. If I based my political leanings on "what's in it for ME" & "to hell with the country....I want mine", I'd be a lib, too.

Few of us are naive enough to think that we have no effect on our ecosystem. But the claims that we are responsible for global warming are nonsense. Check out the glacier that used to cover the area where my little tail is sitting right now. (Michigan) What happened to the glacier? Global warming that's what, long before we were around here to leave "carbon footprints."

I wasn't around when it happened, but I understand that Lake Erie, not very far from us here, was once so polluted it was considered dead. But concentrated efforts into cleaning it up produced the Midwest's premier walleye fishery, home to some high class fishing tournaments.

The promoters of the global warming nonsense are the same ignorant of the facts eco-ninnies who fight logging on the Upper Peninsula, which is resulting in the destruction of the deer herd there. The deer winter in white cedar and hemlock yards and feed on the trees. But the trees have grown too tall and many of the deer simply starve. But the eco-weenies go nuts every time clear cutting is suggested. Before we humans got involved, fires used to take care of the necessary clearing.

But selective "harvesting" of mature trees doesn't provide the proper environment for new growth.

We don't remember the glacier, but her husband may

So Sliv you would rather kill our economy and most likely the country in the process. Tell me, where exactly will the energy sources come from if Cap and Trade is made law? It is a fact that Spain's green initiative is bankrupting them, it is a fact that when Germany tried this they realized it was doing absolutely nothing to reduce emissions, in fact emissions increased and so did the cost of living, to the point that Germany scrapped the whole damned thing. The Obama administration, this Congress and the entitlement programs are already well on the way to bankrupting the country, no new nuke power plants, no new coal plants, so tell me where exactly are the new sources going to come from to make up for the lack of power generation going to come from? e85 and ethanol are a joke, solar power, you'll be replacing the panels before they even come close to breaking even.

Have you ever actually listened to Limbaugh or Beck, not just so called quotes reported on the evening news?

Also, did you realize many of the same "scientist" that are screaming global warming, oops, global climate change, are the same "scientist" that were screaming we are headed for another ice age if we don't change 30+ years ago?

I guess we fixed that problem.:D

My point exactly, in the early 70's it was global cooling, then it became global warming, now it's climate change.

As far as Beck and Limbaugh are concerned, I'll tell you what, I'll take Beck's record at forecasting events over the politicians, it seems that Beck is right about 80 % compared to the politician's hardly ever being right.

At least Beck tells both sides of a story and if he's wrong he'll lead his next show admitting that he was wrong and correct it. Or would you prefer a loser like Olberman who gets the chills running up his leg for another man, or the likes of Chris Matthews, who wouldn't know what a news worthy question was if it bit him in the ass while on the air.

Yes, regional pollution is worse in other countries. That we agree on. But I am not wearing a face-mask here in Louisiana because of China's pollution.

And since you brought up the ocean, the ocean produces more "greenhouse gases" than anything man could ever create.

It's not that ocean is producing more green house gases than we can, it's the green house gases we are producing have not been in the atmosphere for a long time.

Now with that being said, I don't think we are causing the plante to warm up. We may be speeding up the process by .00000000000000000012 percent, but we are not "causing it"

Do a little research on what happened on earth around 11,000 years ago. Global warming killed the mammoths, giant sloths and the short faced bears when man was living in caves. What caused it? No one really knows, but they have proof that over a period of time the earth saw drastic temperature increases by drilling miles down into the ice caps. In the 1970's they were convinced the earth was cooling and we were all going to freeze to death. So, let's take a break and relax and do what we can to make the world better. However, if mother nature decides our time on earth is over, then enjoy eternity boys cause that's all you can do about it.

Lake Erie is now a mess again:confused: What we did to clean it up was introduce the zebra mussel into the lake, which now has it's own issues.

One should not eat walleye from lake erie these days, it's that bad.

In bold is spot on about the UP!!!!

Limbaugh was proven to be right something like 98% of the time when stating facts(not his opinions) by an independent group.
