I've never been jealous of a standard issue license plate before..... until lunch today. Trucks get issued "B" plates in IL. Not a fan of the license plate frame though.

Did you watch the you tube video on A 1 billion solar power plant in Nevada that shut down? The one that got at the least 500 million of our tax dollars . The one that only expected to be 50% efficient,yet only managed 20% in the 9 mos. It was on line before perminately shutting down. Why did it not work...Well ended up with costly failures, leaks of molten salt into the ground ,and a KW cost 8x' s higher than other sources. This is going to be repeated time and again. There was no mention of the environmental impact in the dessert, the clean up, the environmental cost that went into building this MASSIVE scrap yard. How these mirrors could actually effect Bird migrations? The heat being generated but not captured into our atmosphere by these thousands of square feet of mirrors just left out there. How many trees that make our oxygen, drive our weather patterns, help cool our planet will be leveled for wind farms and thousands of acres of solar fields.
Right now there is a 13,000 acre solar farm with 2 MILLION panels being built just a few miles from where I hunt in NW Indiana/Jasper/Starke County ... they are destroying-wiping out thousands of acres of farm land/woods/fields, drainage ditches and also many of the feeding areas for the Sandhill Cranes that migrate thru ... in the process they are also shuttering/closing the Wheatfield coal power plant, just a few miles north of the solar location ( I was in a controlled deer hunt there years a go)..... it is a sickening site to see all the land being destroyed, bulldozed under ..... It is supposed to be the LARGEST solar farm in the US .... what the hell will happen with all the big snows we get around here and the panels are covered up ... I have been to so many of these type of "informational" public meetings and people are just so plain ignorant. They refuse to or are so uninformed never asking the most important questions. I can tell you when those are asked and then pushed , most of these mouth pieces and their hired engineers ,plus local officials that are getting kick backs flip their lids. When I say kick backs ...don't think cash . They are too smart for that. But watch the family vacations, Oh look at those new vehicals or toys... It's a long list of "perks" they know many small town population don't always catch. ..our supervisor got a wonderful full family Disney trip. He wasn't able to seal the deal though and I don't have to live next to a massive turbine.He left office when ****e hit the fan.
