it was 3.79 here a couple times last week at the 'cheaper' spots, think we filled up at Costco for 3.59 on Friday.
during the worst of the Obummer years, it was over $5 here. And I am not talking about the city, they gouge everyone there. Suburban Cook and WIll Counties.
Can not imagine what boat gas will cost this summer, the boys burn 36 gallons sking a weekend and tubing plus the pontoon, burned over 150 gallons just on boats and lawnmowers last summer.
was at 3.27 gal. today, a dollar + higher than when Trump left office ... an article I read yesterday said $ 7 gal. is possible .. hell $4 is a big hurt, over that will shut this country down... many would not be able to afford driving to and from work and Obiden and the dems want to drop the federal fuel tax ..... (.18) .... to help out the 'little people'
All this gas talk, going to get my 2 stroke beach cruiser going again. I will never pay $5 a gallon. Ever, period.
Hell, when Russia does invade(if it isn't already ongoing), I'll be waiting for Biden to announce no more US aide for the Ukranians until their military masks up to help stop the spread.
IL is .38 cents a gallon, doubled by Prickster and set to increase automatically over the next several years. Now he is trying to be a Fauci type savior by suspending partial increases to help the citizens. I helped create this crisis, but I am going to insist on temporary reductions* to make myself look better. *any lost revenue shall and will be recouped at a later date by raising taxes further or creating new taxes to cover revenue losses.
Only pics I can still find are of the gas tank. Still have it and still the same. Reflective stickers on the side. And yeah, Obama was president at the time but Katrina was a big culprit to the prices, he just never helped.
Not sure what it means but we have a dozen projects in house going to the salt caves that store the national reserve crude.
And the prices never came down from it. Once they realized that travel was not deterred by the price, prices stayed elevated for a long time. The pics were from 2009, but think I bought it 2006/7. Katrina was 2005 and remember I never had to pay $4 a gallon during that stretch.
