Seriously, the DNC is doing more to reelect trump than trump is doing himself. All in all, the only thing Americans can prove these days is no intelligent do gooder will ever run for president. We are now stuck with reality tv stars that failed as businessmen, establishment politicians and a old coot who will not be around long enough to see his plan of socialism and free everything **** up everything.

If the GOP was serious about winning the next election they would nominate someone like James Lankford. I may not agree with the guy on most things but his character is bullet proof and good luck digging up dirt on him. And if the DNC was serious about winning an election they would disband..

I like that Tulsi. Just proves more that the DNC is bought and paid for. Her character shines through any of the bs they throw at her and the whole russian asset was the most laughable thing I've heard last year.

Hillary and Nancy seem to have the same skill-set. Lie, lie some more and then deflect. The liberal game plan has been the same for years. Do corrupt things and then blame the other side of the isle for the very things you have just done. I know both sides have their faults. But seriously, look at this pattern of blame. It repeats itself over and over and over again. One of the latest laughs is the Libs blaming Trump for Russian collusion while their own kids are actually on the payroll and their pockets are getting lined. You just can't make this kind of farce up! lol

I am curious to see how Yang does in Iowa. I'm willing to bet he does way better than the DNC has him projected to do with all their supposed polls. And for the record, I still support yang. I've already donated the max to him for this year. He is the only one that makes sense and is a centralist.

    So..
Yang>Trump and a debate I would love to watch.

UBI is beyond insane. The cost is even more than the pie in the sky ideas of free college or medicare for all. He wants to fund it with a VAT tax that would actually hit the poor harder than the middle class or wealthy. He plans to give it to everyone regardless of income by taxing the wealthy at a higher level. It has more flaws than the sweater my blind grandmother knitted. My wife already struggles to hire people that get to work inside in a retail setting and make about $20 per hour. A lot of them have told her they can do better by staying home and taking the handouts. How many people are actually going to work if you just start handing out a thousand dollars a month and legalize marijuana!? lol. I'm sorry, it might sound warm and fuzzy, but that is beyond doomed. I know, I know, a thousand dollars a month is not much, but you better believe me that these kids will go together to rent a crappy house and enjoy sitting around doing nothing. I am shocked at how many of them have absolutely no desire to build any wealth at all. They are content to have little and depend on others.

I like the idea of UBI but get the government involved and they can and will figure a way to booger it up. I dont think people would just stay at home for $12k a year. And I think it would or has the potential to end a lot of government assistance and other programs. What I like is that amount of money coming into a municipal tax base and that municipality being able to have control over the way its tax revenue is spent. Or not have to write federal Grant's for smaller projects. I also deal with folks that a minor roof repair is out of the question for them so I either do it for free bc I'm a decent human or I dont do it and it further degrades the property. I can see where UBI helps those whom want to help themselves. No matter what system we have in play you are going to have those that will abuse it. But you also have those that use it for that stepping stone to a better path. Yeah i know, warm and fuzzy.

And in the end they will get what's coming to them and those that choose to get out and get after it will prosper. Personally, I need those millenials to sit on their ass, more money I can go out and make with less competition.

    Man you hit that nail!!!
I spent 40 yrs as a registered Democrat voting the lesser of evils in primaries and Hoping Republicans pulled their heads out of their arses for the Generals. I finally think they could have their acts together and change parties. Then back up the hole went their heads. FINALLY THEY MAY HAVE LEARNED. I mean they can't take the credit,Trump has played the Dems so hard they lost their minds. It's like watching a knife wielding nut job so worked up about starting an attack he stabs himself. The Republicans really have to drive home winning the House back and keeping the Senate. Voters have to realize if the Democrats are not removed from all power we will never get the country's infrastructure repaired. The Dems dropped their pants for the world to see and showed how soiled they are.

UBI....What scares me is it will begin "in lieu of" and become "in addition to" . Controlling the populous first by disarming then through dependency. I get it, our entire system would have to be destroyed for this to take affect but isnt already trending?

Exactly. No way UBI becomes the only assistance, it cant. Until we get the government to figure out that you have to have a graduated system and slowly remove assistance as income grows in the household, we are doomed. Now it is all or nothing basically and it is ruining the lower paying job market. And by lower, I mean up to and including $20 or more per hour. I know you cant raise a family on that, but it is a decent second income for a family and it certainly provides a place to start and gain some skills.

So how does an open border work with UBI? There is no possible way for a nation to tax its way to prosperity.

But, there are plenty of kids for the liberals to pander to that do not have even the most remedial concept of economics. You will never convince them that taxing the rich is not the answer. I am fortunate to do well some years and the amount of tax I paid last year is more than some of these punks care to make in a lifetime. I don't mind paying a fair share. But, I have taken some very big risks and have had well over a million in debt at times also. If I failed, my loans were certainly not going to be forgiven. To take away the incentive to take risk is to completely stifle your economy and jobs. Our risk created quite a few jobs and produces a lot of taxes paid at all levels. I never would have taken the chance if I knew I was going to be punished for success. There is a good reason that we are experiencing the lowest unemployment in history and its not because we are punishing corporations and individuals that do well. A successful corporation that did not pay taxes, spent a ton of money on expansion and jobs. Basic economics has proven time and again that you cant have it both ways.
