Wife just got her car and MFer it's so impractical. With our temps we get 140 highway miles... I live 9 miles from a gf stop light let alone city which is 45. Wife gets to work and home and is at 50%. But it's such a sweet ride. In Venatione Veritas
My wife and I just took the opposite approach a couple weeks ago. We both needed tires, so we got tires that happened to be mounted on a couple of the biggest most gas hating beasts on the road. We don't drive a lot of miles and said screw it. Power companies burn fossil-fuels to create the electricity, so we just skipped a step.
I can see a niche use... And my to be neighbors that have solar on the roof mitigates the electric cost concern... But I can't justify an electric car in my mind...for my needs. Ymmv.
