The real question is what will a war cost us with Iran, not just money, but the human cost. I am hoping our President does not get us into another Iraq/Afghanistan . It's easy to sit here a talk, talk is cheap. It's the military and their families that will pay the price. As we have learned from past, these wars do not make us safe nor are worth the cost of human toll they take.
A few drones or missiles does not, necessarily, mean war. I think the last several administration's (both Bushes, Clinton and Obama) have all, minimally, made use of military tactical strikes. Prior to them, we just used non military agents or allies...
Germ does not want to hear that. Simple, launch tomahawks bomb radar and missile sites, shut out the lights in Iran no troops involved unless Iran pulls more stupid ****. Iran has an issue with respecting US embassies, teach them a painful lesson, it is the only thing they understand.

A attack on a US embassy is no different than a attack in any major US city. It's litetally US soil. So I would say dropping a few bombs in response is very much making Americans safer. How many ships or anything else over the last 20 years have been attacked by Iran? It's been 4 or 5 years ago they took a US navy ship and held Navy sailors hostage. We only responded by sending cash, I imagine few more targeted missle strikes will have more of a effect. I don't think anyone wants war, but you can't sit back and do nothing or talk about it for 6 months. It took what less than 48 hours and basically took out who was responsible. I'm full well aware of Iran and its history. Surprised it has taken this long to send a tomahawk. I just find it funny that Trump tweets more than a teenager and a lot of them tweets seem to come back to bite him in the ass. He would have been even more critical of Obama if he had taken the same action. So that fulfils my venture into the political venting thread for awhile.
