Almost half of them only existed on paper...massive fraud (we were paying the warlords ANP's payrolls) About a quarter of them ran or are dead, or will soon be The remaining quarter changed sides (see our choppers flying around with ANA paint jobs? Yeah, those are ANA pilots who flipped)
this situation is definitively not Trump's fault. this *dministration has been in office 8 full months. As recently as THIS WEEK they claimed that the Taliban's taking of the entire country was "highly unlikely". They have had 8 full months to at the very goddamn least have a proper plan for safely withdrawing our embassy people; much less stop the advance. If anything, *'s extension from Trump's May deadline allowed the Taliban more time to infiltrate and buy off the local warlords, paving the way.
From your other reply it's not a surprise they went back on the deal, but what you said here is why. They knew now that it'd go unchecked. I guess we'll see but I'm doubtful anything significant will happen as response, not that I'm real convinced it should. Other than the military equipment they got ahold of. But I don't even know for sure what that included if anything at all. Can't imagine there was much left behind. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I may have underestimated her crew. I thought she was going to wait for him to literally crap his pants in public but I was wrong. As good old Rahm Emmanuel himself once said- "never let a good crisis go to waste." Buh-bye, *. Hello 47. With Obama's inner circle is already publicly taking jabs at the * over Afghanistan, the dam will break. When Dems turn their fire inward there is always, always an ulterior motive. Cui Bono?
Additionally... If you've ever worked on DR/BCP planning or regional disasters, one of the first steps are basic needs and families. Most Afghanis don't have the means to pick up their families lives as he move to some other safe country. Under pressure, few will have the priority to defend their nation... Most will be martyred. Islam (and the varied levels of extremities)is the predominant religion in the area... And there is no separation between the government and their religion. As tribal peoples, there really has never been peace in the area. USSR and US have learned, the has way, over the past 40 or so years changing ideology in the area really isn't possible.
