IL the same way, you have to provide all of it for a DL, State ID, FOID Card, Fishing/Hunting license... Showed my voter registration card at the local voting site a couple years back and followed it up with my DL, they shoved the DL away and the lady commented to another about how my signature was a dead match. I'd have rather had the ID used but not required here.
dude. Not up here. The judges would lose their minds. Nobody is actually arrested for that. It's a ticket, and that's probably only if you're being a jagg or you are in a municipality that likes to fine people.
I don't consider Chicago IL, but then again they rule IL. Back in my dumb years I never had insurance, get a ticket for it and you drive away. Driving on a suspended was automatically a trip to the county. Menard and Sangamon enforced it always. I had warrants in 3 counties for not paying tickets so my license was suspended. Grandparents came to my rescue after a couple years and one county, Menard, held me in contempt. Sangamon and Christian both accepted payment in full. Menard was my breaking point. Grandpa picked me up for court, after fine was paid they gave me a hearing date. As I approached the bench I heard the judge gavel and then ask "Would the gentleman in the back of the court please remove his hat". Was my grandpa he was talking to, wearing a Bermuda colored feather hat, the most outrageous hat one could imagine for a farming grandpa. Judge asks me how do I explain not paying my fine over the course of 15 months, I was hung over and stuttered a few uh's, as I tried to come up with a reason. He got straight to the point and said the phrase that has forever stood with me, "Surprise, surprise. I find you in contempt of the court and sentence you to 14 days in the county jail". As I put my head down in a sulking fashion I hear the judge say "Sir, please take your seat". Thought he was talking to me and I hear my Grandpa cry out as he is walking down the aisle. From that moment forward I vowed to be the better person, the law abiding, the one who could walk away and the one who could make a grandparent proud. I was 21 then, failed a time or two afterwards but ultimately met my goal. Long winded post, but amazing what a simple "topic" can bring out in us. A lot of things I would change in my youth, yet a lot of the things I would change made me the man I am today. Catch 22 at it's finest.
you might be one of the only men in Springfield to think that. The rest don't consider anything outside of Chicago to be IL.
Ahhh see what he did there? " You can have a Bachalor degree and still be an idiot" He didn't say master's or Doctorate. No he used the lowest degree in higher ed. possible
Let's take this further...they need ID to get their unemployment checks, disability payments, welfare stipends, alcoholic beverages, social security checks ect,ect.......
