    I don't see how parents can be so surprised at what's going on in schools...you all went to school and this control and indoctrination was happening then. When my 35 yr old son was in Jr high it was so bad I took him to a psychologist. He told me that right or wrong he has to conform to survive.
    That schools are gov. Institutions much like prisons. They have their own rules and regulations outside of norms in order to maintain the order they require. There Is no fighting it. He can only keep his head down and get through it...why he ended up refusing to attend his graduation and made them mail his diploma.
    Though they did stand down when I went full Momma bear on them in his senior year. When I got done hauling in witnesses, bye passing their usual reflections and explaining in great detail the legal attack I had planned with specific names mentioned and legal routes to be taken,they deflated. Son received an apology and was not harrassed the rest of his year. These people assume no one would follow through in push back, they need to have a constant barrage of legal push back. They need to be overwhelmed with individual legal actions in order to get the air sucked out of their puffed up chests.

    I fall back on what I said and took a lot of flack for doing so in this forum many years ago-

    the average public school teacher is an absolute moron that I would not trust to teach a kid to tie their shoes. They are literal know-nothings. When I was in college, education majors were easily the dumbest students (as a group) with the easiest class loads. They were already being coddled, infantalized, and indoctrinated. Smart chicks went to business or nursing school, dumb ones were Ed majors. I know, because I was in college for 7 years and let's just say I have a lot of experience with fleeting interactions with Ed majors...Ed majors were fun year round. Not so much with nursing or b-school majors...they were not nearly as fun except the week after exams; when they were a whole lotta fun to be around.

    I know, I know...some of you and or your spouses may be public school teachers, and of course not all are bad and/or stupid. But especially so for teachers under 40yoa; you have the peter-pan generation teaching the generation after them and you get subsequent generations of perpetual stupid adolescence. You see the same thing in the inner city- multiple generations being 'reared" by the perpetually infantalized.

    So what you’re saying is, we need to pay teachers more so they can go to college longer and get better education…

    Sorry, I went to public school for a few years. Every now and then I get a flare up of public education logic.

    Problem is colleges do not offer a better education, it is more indoctrination.

    Preaching to the choir here. I married into a family where EVERY FEMALE,other than sister in-laws were teachers. Now MIL was a smart but socially ruthless person and she had the utter most disdain for parents. They all tried to hold a "air of superiority" over anyone not in there circle.. Needless to say I bumped heads with each of them...Then found out later...they were literally afraid of me...Lol I didn't even use my angry voice it was my "time to take care of business" attitude and face
    Our daughter went into higher ed...against my wishes. I told her she'd not want to deal with these ppl. Left within 8 yrs. Cutting a 6 figure job in half. Though now she's almost back to square and way way happier.

    Exactly, they have to have Cry-In's and coloring sessions for the children, can no longer call them young adults, when an election doesn't go their way. They encourage them to protest and physically assault conservative speakers or even thinkers.

    Schools and Colleges are becoming nothing more than antifa recruiters.

    The biggest problem is many states DO NOT CONSIDER YOUR KIDS YOURS. You have kids and keep your kids at the pleasure of the state.Your just responsible for any wrongs they do and their physical needs by....state law..think about that a bit.

    True story^

    I'm going on year six of college and can attest to that. I informed my cohort that I was an independent and they almost lost their sh!t. They have all been brainwashed by the media and professors. It is awful. It is so hard to keep my mouth shut.

    FIFY;
    and no, not at all. I think that teaching should not be an entry level job. No districts should be hiring anyone fresh out of college. First of all, that's how you get Daily Caller stories of 24 year old teachers banging 15 year old boys. Secondly, they have and will never have any real world experience- academia is NOT experience. They have never failed anything of importance. You cannot teach for success if you have never failed.
