I have this one saved for whenever somebody from across the pond spouts off on one of the firearm sites I frequent.
How on the world can this be correct? No way making $448k puts you in the 1% in the US. Or maybe I'm wrong but I've always regarded the 1% as the Waltons, Hamm, Soros or the Koch Brothers.
I would imagine billionaires are in the .001% or less category. Considering there is 330 million in the US and 7+ billion worldwide.
Yes, though the numbers were per country. As Bob dug in, directionally correct, but maybe old data with thresholds 10% higher now. I've said for years, folks in India were getting paid about 1/10 of US labor...the top 1% income earners maybe are 1/6 of US. Plausible. If you looked globally that top 1% is probably closer to 75k-85k. Travel outside the US and see >real< poverty in the globe and you have a different view. My quote, "The worst we have in the US, is still pretty damn good."
Make your own money, keep your own money, save for the defense of this country and its infrastructure.
Medium income is around 32,000, America is top and bottom heavy for incomes. How many people do you know that make over 500,000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'll never be a 1%er but I am so glad that there are 1%ers out there. Being in the trades, because of them, I work and live very well. What Regan said may have been fairly rudimentary to some but money does have a way of trickling down.
I know several thing is the richest guys I know you would never know that they are rich. most are still on their first wife, that is key.
I am living in an alternate reality. I swear. Bidens AG nominee Garland said this....... "That mission remains urgent because we do not yet have equal justice," Garland's statement said. "Communities of color and other minorities still face discrimination in housing, education, employment, and the criminal justice system; and bear the brunt of the harm caused by pandemic, pollution, and climate change."
