I went and got the audiobook last week and just finished it.
That was an unbelievable account. All I can say is that I felt like a wimp after finishing the book. I don’t think I’d last a week in their shoes, let alone 5 months. Very inspirational, thanks for sharing!

I am constantly complaining to my wife about the liberal assault on real light bulbs.

 

And real shower heads that put out enough water to wash the soap out of my hair in under 10 minutes. And faucets that don't take a freaking decade to fill up a pot. Its ridiculous that every time you replace a shower head or spigot you gotta spend 20 minutes attacking it with a drill and hammer to get the stupid water restrict out of it. Don’t they realize that everyone with half a lick of sense is going to dig that motherfucker out anyway. Why make us go through the effort. And besides, when I fill up a pot that holds 2 gallons of water then it is going to take 2 gallons of water to fill it up, no matter how slow the ******* water comes out. Water saver faucet is just a fancy way of saying slow ass ******* faucet.

 

You think light bulbs are bad, wait until they take your straws, grocery bags, guns, paycheck, and penis.

 

It has a real impact, I used to raise meat chickens and would get the chicks early. Day old chicks require 100 degrees, I would have a dozen in a cardboard box with a lid over part to keep the heat in. A 100 watt bulb was a very safe alternative to the hotter IR bulbs, a 75 watt bulb just will not do the job.
