I don't know; but we finally got a new guy at work (he's 26) and he's always on Twatter or IG or whatever. I started calling him Hashtag today. He hates it. I told him "it's either Hashtag or Grindr, take your pick."

He is now and forever will be known as Hashtag.

I dunno. Money is already spent. Kinda like all my UnderArmor stuff. Not gonna set my money on fire to send more money to Vietnam or Thailand.

torn a bit on this one in principle. I'm pretty Libertarian but very little enrages me more than seeing some dirtbag hotbox a car full of kids. Those kids' lungs are still developing and they are not choosing to be in that car.

One ridiculous part of the law is that it's not PC for a stop but can be added on if another infraction occurs- typically Illinois stupidity. Is it dangerous or not? If I, as an adult, can get pulled over and ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt potentially harming nobody but myself; then why can't a cop pull someone over and fine them for smoking in a car w/ little kids?

I don’t know how I feel about that either, on one hand, parents who smoke in the car with kids, knowing that they are causing damage of some degree to their children’s health ought to be charged. They are making selfish decisions that will impact their kids forever. But where should the line be drawn? Those same kids will have to deal with the same thing at their house or apartment. Should the state be allowed to charge parents for smoking on their own property?

The real disgusting part is that the people who wrote up this law are just looking for money. First they gouge people with a high tax rate on an addictive substance and then hit them on the back end with laws like this.

agreed on all points with the caveat that at least inside a house the concentration of smoke is much less than in a car (assuming windows closed) and the kids ostensibly could go in another room or at least more than 5 feet away from the smoker.
