accident being a euphemism for unintended...Mr. Literal.

but considering a woman can typically only conceive 6 days out of her 28 day cycle; any sex outside that predicted window which results in pregnancy would be so unlikely as to be "unforeseeable" and therefore an accident; by your definition.

You lost me at “having a meaningful discussion” in the political rant thread.

I liked your analogy about abortions and mass shootings. There certainly should be legislation in place for those very, VERY, rare instances. Just my opinion. Someone should not have to bear a child for 9 months after being raped. Just my opinion. Just like someone shouldn’t lose their life because of a mass shooter.

Yes I’m glad I wasn’t aborted. However it still doesn’t change my stance on being pro choice.

I'm not saying your stance is BS- I am saying if I write that I agreed with you I would be BSing myself and you.

In other words; my agreement with your stance would be a form of dishonest incrementalism - I would take the victory and then try to move the goalposts; just as liberals do on gun control.

Of course the very definition of tyranny is the arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power; which in this case the victim is the unborn. And by no reasonable POV is anything I advocate for or against supportive of rape.

I am being intellectually consistent here. A life is a life. There is no hierarchy of the unborn.

That's your own genetic material, do with it what you want. Life begins at conception; not prior to. However, when 2 separate genetic codes combine, multiply and divide; that is a new life form. Which, as a helpless child who has not ever committed any offense; deserves protection.

In a later post you say this conversation has pushed you further towards the pro-abortion wing. I hope that is not the case. If so, I don't know how as it's been nothing but respectful and all I've done is point out legal, biological, and intellectual inconsistencies which support "your side" of the argument; which I freely admit was once also "my side." My mind was changed by the very information I have cited throughout this and my previous posts on this topic.

I take my Libertarianist tendencies very seriously; but at the end of the day government should exist primarily to enact and enforce laws which defend the defenseless. Can't be any more defenseless and innocent than an unborn baby.

This may not change your mind but it's worth a read.

Deleted half of my posts which means one, so replacing it with this one and will be my last one.

I don't think such a thread is going to be good for the forum. It's like asking your buddy to go out to the bar to debate religion and politics. Nothing good can become of it.

I'll keep my political rants to the rant thread where they are still appropriate, regardless of rants against such.

I'll await the live from the stand thread. It can still truly save us all.

    See ya there!

Fine, I'll side with the leftist and err on the side of freedom of choice. While I'll forever look down in disgust at most women that have an abortion, I'll never feel like an ass for telling a woman who was raped that she has no choice or control over her life and she has to carry it to term against her will.

I guess I'm okay with that. Their choice, their problem...I'll continue to mind my own business and take care of my own principles.

Thanks for realizing I wasn’t being s smart ass

I think we are all entitled to our own opinions .
We don’t have to like or agree with another’s opinion but we need to respect their right to have it

All this debate on abortion is great.

However, are we looking thru the lense of a heartbeat equallying a human life we simply snuff out ?

Is that how society in the modern age works ? Life don’t matter ?

I get the abortion of rape , incest and even the woman possibly losing her life giving birth.

But I can’t give pathway to a heartbeat. That to me is the basis of true life. Not even blood is life alone without a heartbeat.

I’m all for government keeping out of our affairs. But we can’t condone murder.

You know this whole abortion issue is a tangled web. It's too bad it has been politicized. These asshat actavist, most that don't even have a horse in the race are diddling the very ppl they claim to be helping. They won Roe vs Wade, but technology has advanced and the big business of abortions and fetal tissue has as well.
We now know when heart beats and brain activation begins, we have the medication, day after pill, better contraception. This is ALL cutting into the abortion industries profits. They are the ones that pushed this latest BS They sucked in the clue less lemmings to carry their agenda and it's now back firing on them.
I do believe in abortion under certain circumstances. Yes there are legitimate reasons to stop a pregnancy. I also believe in the right to die. In this day and age of medical advancements both have a role. It's why we have DNR'S.
Planned parenthood should be forced to dissolve. They have everyone on both sides looking in the wrong direction on this issue,an issue they have fed and been feeding off

How stupid do the network media think the liberal lemmings are, no really Germ you and your people should be either embarrassed or outraged. President Trump says he would listen to foreign countries if they offered dirt on a political opponent. The Media and liberals in congress renew their impeachment chanting. Ask Hilliary where the Steel document came from. Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

How come Trump is far down in the polls yet people camp out for days to get into his rally in Orlando? Over 10,000 people expected and none of the politicians are drawing close to that?
