So this is FUBR So they can't count the vote before inauguration day...the speaker is president until things are resolved. Now if Dems still control the House they can change the speaker before that. Again doesn't pass the sniff test. In my county, mail in is due by 10/27, early electronic voting by 10/31. Plenty of lead time. Electronic votes from early, along with voting day can be systematically tallied in no time... Mail in could be validated from now till completed. How long it takes is a function of #bodies. So, if you want to miss the date, you employ /enlist fewer people...otherwise you staff up. This assuming technology is not used to really votes by mail....and the stupid #2 fill in the circle technology (along with much more advanced machine learning handwriting recognition analysis is now available). Despite government often employing obsolete and ancient technology, this stinks of obstruction.
