Key difference FAA employees are fed employees. (public school) Teachers aren't, they work for the local school districts, which are in part funded by fed $ (I.e. Fed Taxes), but also from state/local tax Rev and in some cases grant $. Faa is under DOT which is under the evil orange man.
Heres the thing I worked in both elementary and high school. The worst times for this distancing is class changes and cafeteria. Then lockers rooms and some gym sports. I never cozied up to my teachers and never saw classmates do so either. Class rooms can be worked around and just stagger releasing kids to their next class. It may lengthen school time of shorten class time but not by much. As for lunch open up rooms close to cafeteria that they can send some students to with their trays. Sorry but for many teachers and staff it's more about any extra effort than fear.
