So are people upset at Goodyear because of what Trump tweeted the other day, or from the training slide that's circulating around social media? From what I understand the corporate office didn't create the slide for it's training program. It originated from a Goodyear plant by a one employee at a KS location.

Thus the need to get their people under control, also as a heads up to other corporations. Wheres the money? Not in the hands of a bunch of unemployed rioters. One saying in all this I love is get woke go broke.

Well the same mentality of the offended party, like I said 1 bad cop all bad cops. I personally do not really care what brand tires goes on the vehicle, quality and cost is important nothing else.

So Germ, a few questions. I am not sure what your political philosophy is. I am trying to make sense of where you stand. Not to disrespect you or argue at all. Are you a Trump supporter? Are you a Biden supporter? Are you a states rights guy or federal government guy? Dem or Rep? or something else? I just want to get perspective when you speak. That's all.

I did say If you believe Good Year...They did give a half assed "well, that is not what we meant" type of response. Sort of, maybe.

Agree with the wear uniform with logo. That takes away any "nuanced" messages.

Personal decision ain't it? Get triggered over every little thing and sooner or later, you will have no where to buy from.

I'm not triggered in the slightest, I don't think I've ever bought Good Years in my life. Even when I worked in a Good Year authorized garage. Went Dunlop twice, once on my Camaro and once on my Ranger, put Cooper AT3's on my Tacoma I have now. Maybe back in high school or just after graduating I may have bought some used from a tire shop, but pricing was never justifiable for me.

Even if I did, just like boycotting NFL'ers, I'm not going to go out and burn every jersey or piece of memorabilia I spent money on nor would I slash my own tires to replace with something else.

If I'm going to boycott something it would have to be more definitive. Like when D ick's stopped selling the black rifles and other places did as well, I'll take my business elsewhere that did have impact to their bottom line.

Trump's tweet won't have a lasting impact, if any at all, all the motorsport series out there using their tire, the entire presidential motorcade has them mounted up. If anything it will force whovever at Good Year to clarify and/or change the position. Not going to change my vote either way.

I may be one of few that didn't like Reagan, that said, he did something that for the life of me can't understand doesn't apply to teachers. When air traffic controllers went on strike they were fired. Sorry air travel isn't more important than teaching our kids. Inconvenient, but with technology it's nothing like when Reagan did this.Kids time in school can not be worked around . We aren't moving objects ,(talking commerce ) through air space we are moving young minds through development. How dare these teachers try to hold parents and the country hostage through strike threats. It should be illegal. They strike, fire their azzes and replace them with professionals not political activist. Sometimes the past needs be closely looked at.

BTW....family loaded with past and present teachers and friends.

It was 16ft which was too long but now it is 14ft and works fine. Sometimes you have to change a bit to make things work.
The post also leans neither to the left or the right, it is in the middle. If it did it wouldn’t properly support the whole building. In life we often align ourselves with just those we agree with but fail to recognize that in order to support the whole we have to make an attempt to see things from a different perspective. You can’t properly see both sides of an issue of your leaning too much in one direction.
Now, this is just a post, one of many that help to hold this barn up. Without it, the barn probably wouldn’t fall but it would be weaker. If you took two out or three then eventually the barn would collapse.
Look around maybe we should be more like this post and do our job, recognize that we are part of something bigger, and straighten ourselves up a bit so we can support those around us!

Relax it is still just a post!!!

As a teacher myself I see a couple of scenarios. 1. everybody goes back to school and C19 spreads like wildfire and we have to shut down again. according to news, over 100K cases have been confirmed since some school systems have opened. Now, my school district has 67K students and 7K teschers...that's a lot of people in a lot of tight quarters... 2. we go all virtual and nobody learns a damn thing. 3. we just bite the bullet and let those who get sick get sick and the strongest survive.. No school board or superintendent wants blood on their hands. On the flip side, they don't private education to sink their ships.. IMO, I say we just go back and let the chips fall where they may. I don't worry as much about the covid as I do the current social unrest and the impact that will have on school wide discipline....

HUH? LOL! I don't think you answered my question. But if you don't want to then that's ok. No hard feelings. I was just brought up to stand for something I believe in and not be obscure. I am rep, christian, southern raised, conservative 45 year old man with children that loves this country. I make no apologies for it. I live my life and hurt no one. I don't agree with the current social unrest and the BLM bs. Good people, black and white are being hurt by this non sense.

Fauci had vocal cord surgery.... I wish him good results... With a very long and silent recovery.
