Nothing to do with much else being discussed but if you listen to podcast, Joe Rogan had Bernie Sanders on it other day. Have only listened/watched (YouTube) bits and pieces of it and hasn't changed my mind about anything really but it's somewhat interesting and a decent interview. Better than anything you'd get from the debates or msm anyway. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I've gotten a few of the mini "classic" game consoles that have recently been sold. It's actually funny playing those and trying to remember why always thought the graphics were so awesome growing up. I mean they're terrible haha. Asked a buddy who still has some original systems that work and he said there really wasn't any difference between the originals and what I got. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
We had pong when I was a kid, as a teen ager I went to Ozzie and black sabbath concerts, you kids have nothing on me.
The big problem today is kids are too coddled, given a award for simply dragging their asses out of bed.
Cool. I remember that court case. I'll bet that assignment was actually semi-fun. I think Judas Priest and their "Stained Class" album was on trial for that. Yeah, when we all discovered Motley Crue, we were on board.
I still stand by this statement. I keep hearing that this is untrue. Some people have even stated that they've played violent video games or listened to violent music for years........ and they turned out OK. Well good for you because there are some people that did not turn out OK. Your statements about yourselves hold very little water. For example: I own a bar but I do not drink alcohol. Does that mean therefore that all bar owners are non drinkers? I think not. For those that cited studies that prove me wrong...... be careful because I can find studies that say otherwise. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...o-games-can-trigger-emotional-desensitization http://www.center4research.org/violent-video-games-can-increase-aggression/ "The American Psychological Association (APA) considers violent video games a risk factor for aggression." From the above article. Like I said, "all part of the big picture".
The Fortnite world cup Held Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York(Urban Area) - No one was shot 1. Urban Area 2. 15-20,000 desensitizes kids all in one area I am just stunned these kids who play this violent video game survived the week all playing together. I am shocked Queens did not have to call in the national guard, lol This kid won 3 million, be on the lookout for him, he plays violent video games a lot, look at the anger in his face.
The "mental health" point is an interesting one also now. FBI has been profiling mass shooters and the number is 25% of them have mental health issues.
If you do a mass shooting, or murder anyone you have mental health issues, sane people do not kill people.
You really are stunned Germ. Your post has no bearing on my quote and proves nothing. The studies I have posted have shown what I stated to be true. So now you should go and find more studies to refute mine so we can go back and forth all day.
That was the point, neither post proves anything. What we can proves is these mass shootings are happening here more. Every time this happens will get the lame ass excuse posted here so some can make them selves feel better I guess. It's pretty damn simple, it's easy to get a gun in the USA and shoot people. We can get guns specifically designed to do the most damage to human life. Dayton police should up in less than a minute and still all those people shot. What gets lost in all this, is Dayton police responded in less than a minute. I know it's not going to change, which is why I don't need to make excuse to why it's happening. I knew when Sandy Hook happen and we sat on our collective asses and did nothing, this was the way it would be in America. So you can keep making excuses, me I just accept America for who we are now. I believe this man said it best “These studies have been rejected by every court to consider them, and with good reason: They do not prove that violent video games cause minors to act aggressively,” Antonin Scalia
FBI https://www.cbsnews.com/news/el-paso-walmart-shooting-how-the-fbi-profiles-potential-mass-shooters/
This completely refutes it, with a breakdown on each mass shooting. I'll read your link, but seeing it is CBS I'm sure they can cherry pick who they want to interview. I'd like to see something with facts to back up just a quote in an interview. Is he current FBI or former? https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/07/mass-shootings-map/ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b9o6uDO18sLxBqPwl_Gh9bnhW-ev_dABH83M5Vb5L8o/htmlview#gid=0
So your solution would be what? Single shot long guns and revolvers only? Remember, Choi didn't need a long gun in the Virginia tech shooting.
I'd like to see the facts that back up his statement is all. As you can see the spreadsheet in the second link I posted thoroughly breaks down each shooting up into and including Dayton. Most recent ones could still change as investigations are ongoing.
