The Associated Press has issued a statement that when reporting news if the term black is used in context to the story the B in black will be capitalized while in the same circumstances the w in white will not be capitalized. This is the Associated Press people, the same people that act all offended saying russia is misreporting news stories to sway the election.
I just read an article from a college professor from Howard in which she said that "My students pushed back against the lowercase “b” because they recognize the media’s power to shape society’s views — not just how we see the world around us but also how we see ourselves. Capitalization denotes importance, a subtle recognition of a larger truth." The media shaping the truth......very interesting. Well not really.
Enough is enough! It’s time to take a stand against police brutality. Starting tomorrow I will be protesting police from my treestand until real change is made. Hunting season starts early! Squirrels, blue jays and crows are symbols of hate to me, and will not be tolerated within the smack zone. I will be out in the woods all summer if that’s what it takes to be recognized. Most problems in life come from lying and or telling half the truth. I hate it. Unless it is needed for the safety and security of our country, just announce the damn truth. Hey guys we are f'ed. We have to do x, y, and z. I remember one time when I worked in a jail I had to tell the fellas we weren't getting a weekend off for 2 months. I saw it coming and just told them we had to kick in and deal with the crap storm. The powers that be screwed us royally. Id rather get out in front and take it on and tell the truth, than lie or half truth people. From my experience, that really pisses people off. I wish our leaders would behave in that fashion.
CHICAGO (CBS) — At least 14 people were wounded Tuesday evening in a mass shooting directed at people attending a funeral in the Auburn Gresham community. Chicago Police First Deputy Supt. Eric Carter said a black vehicle was heading west on 79th Street at 6:30 p.m., when people inside began firing at attendees of a funeral. The funeral was taking place at a funeral home at 1018 W. 79th St. Every elected official in Chicago needs to be forced out.
While I agree with the closing statement it will do no good. The fools in the NE corner of the state will replace them with groomed alternates that will carry on the tradition whilenonly having to replace the placards on their door/desk. This state needs to see Pritzker and most importantly Madigan taken down. If they can remove Madigan from office and hopefully tack on some corruption charges and maybe a conviction or two, that would send a tidal wave of fear through the political ocean of a cesspool in this state.
