I have a very short attention span which is why I favor Drag racing. Even I can watch a full race that lasts 3.62 seconds!

Sorry I always thought that anybody displaying the confederate flag is wearing a t shirt that says I'm with stupid with the arrow facing straight up.

It's not everyone's cup of tea, kinda like F1/Indy car. Most race fans can't stamd the other, it's a fenders or no fenders thing

I do think you're onto something though.

After George Floyd, at the Atlanta race NASCAR stopped all drivers on the pace laps before thevstart of the race and addressed them over their team communications. It was also broadcast on air for TV viewers to hear.

It struck me as odd, other than being a redneck southern born moonshiners sport, NASCAR has never been controversial.

Kyle Larson had his ordeal during the Covid shutdown and I guessed it may have been due to that, didn't really think it was due to wallace at the time as he is driving for the King of NASCAR so it wasn't like he was being held back because he is not white.

I wondered why they had to do it in the manner they did. Why wouldn't they do it privately and let it be known it was addressed internally.

Now with everything that has happened since that Atlanta race I can't help but think their sliding viewership and fan attendance hasn't got them seeking a new or expanded fan base. I think they are going to see some major backlash over the Wallace inicident, someone at work said Wallace is standing by his saying it was a noose?

NASCAR has been fading for years, mostly since they started the "car of tomorrow". No more win on Sunday sell on Monday, factoty templates won't fit the cars like the old days. Only thing separsting makes/models is some decals.

Used to get 50+ plus cars shkwing up to make a 43 car field every week. Now they are lucky to get the 40 needed for a full field, most wes5 coast swings they can only muster up 37.

Seeing how fast NASCAR execs were to jump on the real until proven false, accusing one of their own not the fans, is akin to blaming the officer in a shooting before any investigation is able to be conducted.

And to go on CNN and look all victimstatusey(non word), just plays into this countrys BS victimhood problem. But hey, people are looked at in a better light when they whine and act like a victim. So I guess they are doing what all weak minded humans do, seek out pleasure instead of being able to endure some "pain" by staying mentally strong.

I help field a dirt sprint car team with my dad and another guy for the 2020 season, Kyle kicked all of our asses at Knoxville last weekend. I have raced sprint cars for 10 years through out the midwest and have made several trips to the west coast to race. I have spent ample time around Kyle Larson at the race track before he was ever famous. I can tell you he is fairly quiet, very well spoken, intelligent, and his talent in race cars could be a top 10 driver of all time depending on where his career goes from here. He said something really stupid and is suffering the fall out from doing so. Is Kyle Larson racist? No, I truly believe he is not! Can others disagree with me? Sure. Since I am a Caucasian male does that automatically throw my opinion out the window? 50/50. Little known fact, Kyle is a minority... look it up!

I didn't cast judgement upon him. It was an unfortunate incident in which he was talking to a computer generated spotter.

I don't think Larson is a racist, don't think what he said was racist in its intent.

I could never get into Sprint cars either, uncle raced street stock at a local dirt track when I was a kid living with him. I grew up with fender racing.

Brother in-law's dad owns(possibly owned nit sure if still racing) a team that raced mainly around the midwest. Car was the 21x, Joey Moughan and Donnie Beechler are the two names I can recall that drove it, Beechler would only drive without the wings.

^^ Mark Levin was going over the history of BLM today on his radio program... many of the BLM leaders are connected to the violent Weather Underground of the '60's ..... imagine that, who'd a thunk it

Looks like NY is going to have another fine Congressman, Jamaal Bowman. He wasted no time making some great comments.....

"I'm a Black man raised by a single mother in a housing project. That story doesn't usually end in Congress," Mr Bowman, 44, tweeted on Wednesday.

"But today, that 11-year-old boy beaten by police is about to be your Representative.

"I can't wait to get to DC and cause problems for those maintaining the status quo."

He may not be a racist, he may be a minority, but he is incredibly stupid to throw the N word out there under any circumstance.
