Yea I've seen all these "peaceful" protest. Ironic that they always seem to end with fighting cops and tearing up cities. What's also ironic is less than a month ago (maybe longer who knows) armed protesters went into the MI capital building and capital to protest, yet not much went down. Also ironic the huge 2A rally in VA with thousands of armed protesters of every background lasted most of day, also without incident. Think there may be a pattern emerging. I don't really care about political parties, if you dont realize they're all **** it's gonna be a long life. Also if you don't realize a person that spends 4-8 years in office has littel effect on anything when everyone else has been there for 20, 30, 40 years you'll never be satisfied. Exactly, I did not vote for Trump in the Primary. If Trump, Hillary and Candidate X were all tied at 33.3% heading into the general election I would have voted Candidate X. Candidate X was not in the race, it was Trump or Hillary. This year itnis Trump or Obiden's VP pick. It's another Trump vote for me Ginsburg likely will not make it another 4 years on the bench, death or otherwise, and possibly a second pick as well. My vote is once again going to be SCOTUS heavy. The day the court turns completely left is the day this nation is forever lost. We've seen that it is the conservative Justices who keep the balance of the courts in check. We won't get liberal justices moving into the conservative or morderate voting sectors on cases. Everyone is worried about Roe vs Wade, yet it still stands coming up on 4 years after its impending doom.

The real issue is blacks are committing more crimes than whites per capita which leads to more confrontation with police which leads to more probability of something bad happening like it just did. Poverty and the welfare state and lack of father figures in the home is the problem.....which leads to crime, which leads to police intervention. I don't have a problem with what Trump did with the church, up to the point of the bible pose. That was a bit confusing for me, honestly I was expecting him to say he would donate his own money, or possibly his next salary, to restoring the church. The crowd push back, I don't think was for his moment. I think they were pushing back the perimeter because, honestly, Friday night(I think it was) the crowd was way too close for their own safety. I mean seriously, does anyone here want to be that first "Look ma, I'm on candid camera" moment scaling the Whitehouse fence and what awaits on the other side? Now, had they let the crowd back in after Trump returned to the Whitehouse, I may agree to an extent, but the "few" bad apples really do pose the biggest risk and they get the peaceful ones caught between placed in precarious situations.
Saying the governors or mayors need to get control or he'll intervene is better than a big "we are the world" speech. Regardless anything he woulda said woulda been wrong. You’re right, a “kumbaya” type speech would not work. That ship has sailed. What we need is moral leadership. Someone who can stand up and say that the tragedy sparking everything was not a one off, but the latest in a long line of minority people dying at the hands of police. Something that cannot and should not be tolerated in 2020. We need to take an honest look at police practices and/or the people who are being hired into the positions and ensure that we as a nation do our damnedest to rebuild the relationship between police and minority communities. We cannot continue to let this happen. For all his faults, I do think that something like that would go a long ways. Much farther than “when the looting starts the shooting starts”. Seek to bring together, not divide for perceived political gain.
