You seem to have forgotten about Biden, who just had 4 years to implicate Trump and everyone else in the matter. Democrats and Republicans in Congress alike were just fine with it being swept under the rug, then once it became a "Trump thing" Democrats were all over it knowing full well they could do nothing more than make it a political stance and try to put pressure on their adversaries. It's worked, where were they January 2021 to January 2025? Sadly, this has become politically driven now.
