14 years living where I am, have never heard fireworks like I have tonight. Patriotism is running high, but riots have probably doubled profits for the makers. Work at 6am tomorrow, so while I'd rather hear them tonight than any other, I'm a bit disgruntled getting ready for sleep.
One, it has been the absolute least fireworks EVER heard here. I don't know if it is cost or simply age in the area. Besides being ashamed of saying I'm from NYS, thanks to the big cities, I'm ashamed to be an old white person. This said after watching the man on the street interviews about immergration and government policy. I thought the ones done with young people were bad, bad, bad! The older ones actually have no excuses, they had way better educational benefits.
the local beaches were packed yesterday ... finally found a parking spot and had a good run along the lake .... Oh, all the wonderful bikini's filled with some beautiful women ....... plenty of fireworks went off, plus the all firework shows along the Lake ... BBQ'd ribs and corn, veggies .. tonight Chicken and brats and T-bones .... I'd BBQ every day if I could .... another good run planned today (and some bikini watchin' again) .., going to 94 degs ...

And then we fast forward 6 months. What a chit show this became. Elon is throwing a temper tantrum, threatening the formation of a new party. A threat that will never materialize as most would see it, but a threat that doesn't need to be a 3rd party in definition. Elon isn't going to throw money away at the presidency or even the biggest names in Congress. He is intending on disrupting and becoming thw middle man in Congress. Very dangerous still. He will back his hand picked candidates in juridictions that are vulnerable for both the Senate and mostly the House. The House controls the purse, Elon wants the purse. He'd only need to swap 10-15 seats to create deadlocks on legislation to where he deems fit. I truly want to believe he has his best intentions meant for the intended American way of life, but seeing how fast he can go full "Musk" raises my concerns tremendously. In 2022 he flat out stated "Assault Rifles" should require training and vetting. In 2025 he insists the 2nd amendment is the core of the US Constitution and needs to be defended as such. I've been watching the news on the Texas flooding. It been crushing my heart knowing what these ppl are going through. 45 yrs ago we lost my 5 yr old niece, Shanna to a flash flood. Her body was never recovered. I flew out to Origon when another little boy was lost to the same flooded creek,just a few doors away. I've lived through 2 floods in my lifetime and one took out the house I was raised in. There is absolutely nothing one can do against raging waters I pray for them all.
