Cartoon with a beaver- Just one dam project after another.
A news item talked of using the land packed with solar panels to graze sheep.

'they' make it sound so ecologically friendly ... yea right, until you see it ... 'they' want 22,000 acres !! ... I drive by the crap every time I go to the state property I hunt ..... sickening ..

Correct me if I'm wrong please, but starting a decade or so ago wasn't the planet saving gurus all up in arms over the rain forrests getting mowed down for " progress"? Remind me, don't forrest in general clean our air ,provide earth cooling, create oxygen, maintain soil stability and health, and protect wildlife while giving them homes?

Yes. Though a lot of the land in the original bill was blm land though...far from a rain forest. Not all, I'm sure, but a lot I've stepped on was similar to that in the foreground of this Pic (which is blm).

But Mike Lee who keeps adding these clauses is a bit of a broken record and whom also receives a lot of his donations from those aligned with real estate, and I think I also heard from other businesses that would benefit.

Mike Lee says he wants to turn all that into condos and townhouses owned by [Chinese-funded] developers to counter a "7 million unit housing shortage" when all he has to do to fix that is help pass the OBBB and faciliate the deportation of 50 million illegal aliens.

I would respect him a lot more if he'd just admit he's going to get a huge kickback from said developers and the state is going to get all that tax revenue funded by federally subsidized loans.

Also correct me if I'm wrong. Over the decades have we not had farmers and other private land owners plans shut down, grazing stopped because of a beetle, mouse, ground bird reptile etc,ect etc. Told recreation vehicals can not be run, walking is allowed ONLY on designated trails to stop eco damage on public lands.
Thats a beautiful picture , is there zero life there? Once disrupted with heavy equipement, steel and degrading synthetic plastics , rusting metals roads, could it ever be brought back from the damage?
Here in NYS we do not have areas as in that pic. We have fertile habitat and woods being cut down and LITERALLY covered in nasty black panels and metal. No "pretty"green isle between them. Low to the ground. BTW not all solar companies are equal.
    One last thought
global warming which do you think would effect it more

100 acres of green shading trees or a 100's of BLACK heat gathering panals
100 acres of open grass lands or 100 acres of BLACK heat gathering panals and metal.
How many actual deserts, open sand or salt flats that could hold these things? May be clean up the already failed/ abandoned ones in the world and attempt new technology. Oh wait where to get the money and where to discard the materials used in those.

Afordable housing, lets pull up the decades worth of film / videos of builds made for affordable housing blown up demolished. Then lets discuss where all that safe materials went to filter through the ground waters, before discussing more "affordable " housing.

To the above, and look it up, due to the fact solar panals actually do heat up, putting them in a desert setting where the sands already produce heat, reduces their electrical output.
So putting them in cooler areas is efficiently important. This artifically effecting the areas heat index.

Many of our cities have thousands of vacant buildings/lots that just need renovating or re-purposing but that won't line senators' pockets quite like selling priceless public land to developers for pennies on the dollar.

Yeah the solar panels fields in Detroit would not be vandalized or stolen or any wiring torn out thinking it is copper.

YUGE YUGE WIN !! .... SCOTUS says NO to these district courts holding up Trumps agenda .... they MUST stay within their lane ...

Activist Judges Smacked Down by Supreme Court in 6-3 Vote

"GIANT WIN in the United States Supreme Court! Even the Birthright Citizenship Hoax has been, indirectly, hit hard," he wrote in a post on Truth Social.

The court dealt a blow on Friday to the power of federal judges by restricting their ability to grant broad legal relief in cases as the justices acted in a legal fight over Trump's bid to limit birthright citizenship, ordering lower courts that blocked the policy to reconsider the scope of their orders.

The justices, in a 6-3 ruling, granted a request by the Trump administration to narrow the scope of three nationwide injunctions issued by federal judges in Maryland, Massachusetts and Washington state that halted enforcement of his directive while litigation challenging the policy plays out.
