I have always found the fascination with gold or any other shiny rock to be silly. I can't eat shiny rocks, and it only has value because of feelings. Makes a pretty lousy resource in the event of a societal or economic collapse. What good is the shiny rock going to do me if I am starving, look prettier in the air when I throw it an animal to kill it for dinner?

I hope not, this is not our war. While Israel is our greatest ally, we are also their greatest protector and I don't want that to be taken advantage of in drawing us into the conflict. If you're going to punch someone in the nose, you better know how to fight and defend yourself or it was all for not. Israel is spread thin and taking a lot of damage now that they are in one war and a second escalation of conflict. While the U.S. was clearly in the know of the initial strikes on Iran, I hope no promises were made of U.S. intervention in the event the retaliatory strikes grew too great. Which they are becoming greater with each new wave of launches. If we get involved I fear it brings in China, and then Russia(who then pulls out of Ukraine) and then you have multiple proxy wars becoming WWIII. Something none of us should want. I don't want to hear tornado sirens going off for their original intent. We've been supplying Ukraine and Israel, depleting our own supplies all the while the building of our military was ramped way down with the Biden/Obama/Clinton 46th presidency. I stand with our troops regardless, but this is one they do not need to be sent to right now.

I don't disagree on that, but China is just waiting for the chance to enter a conflict. They'll hit Taiwan at the same time. Is this the way we want to enter a war? IMO, it would end up a USA vs China War rather than WWIII, but with so many conflicts ongoing it would pretty much be a world war. Canada and France the last to engage.
No nukes or long range missiles for Iran, we pay Israel to take of that for us. They are so damn good at it they had people and equipment in Iran and the intel, pretty impressive.
Makes me wonder one thing. Ukraine just did a similar act against Russia, drones planted a year or more in advance for a deep advance in their strikes into Russia. Common intelligence help?
all I'll say is remember 9/11 and how we were not ready ... I hope we stay out physically, 'cept giving intel and shooting down Iran's missiles as we have been doing .. I want to see Iran neutered, no way to proceed with their nukes ... Iran's might isnt what they say they are, Israel owns the sky there, at least over Tehran and their other targets in that region .. I dont want to see the US in a war, neither does Trump.
