Congress wants a raise and are complaining that have not had one since 2009. Well lets take a look since 2009. Congress members seem to be more worried about social media than doing their job Failure to govern we have not had a complete Budget since 1990's They don't want a raise they just want to keep the status quo, so they can keep cashing in on those stock trades.
I'd like to see their networth from 2009 compared to their 2024 networth, then subtract 15 years base salary. That difference is the only raise they should need. Not to mention the savings from legislation passed that they exempt themselves from. Obamacare etc....

Germ, you and I can agree here. The secret is they always get a raise, unless they vote not to get a raise, because they voted many years ago to make them automatic. That is why every politician you hear say they will not vote for raises is a liar.
