It's entirely possible that Dems didn't turn out for 2 reasons: 1. They don't like Kamala as much as they did Biden, for a variety of reasons. IMO he was still riding Obama's "Hope and Change" coattails at the time. She doesn't have that luxury. 2. Their hatred for Trump has faded enough in the 4 years he was out of office that they didn't turn out to vote against him this time.

I always get annoyed by term limits. We have term limits built into the system—they're called elections. Don't like a person? Vote them out! The problem isn't term limits—it's money in politics. If you removed that and gave people a fair shot to win based on merit and not marketing, you wouldn't have all of these a-holes holding their seats as long as they do. But, like so many things, we're focused on the shiny object that's being dangled in front of us and paying no attention to what's going on behind the curtain.
