Re:FEMA There is no doubt a lot of stress, irritation and inevitably some losing their tempers. There are some open carrying (legal in most of NC) and many concealed carrying. There was 1 person with a long gun and handgun charged. I heard 1 second hand account of a FEMA employee threatening citizens as being armed, and who was told they were out gunned, but others. While the government is inefficient, there are some who may not like 'outsiders' especially with constraints or conditions on offers for assistance, the word I hear, vast majority seems to appreciate the help they're getting by all (other locals, those across the state, NGOs, volunteers and all others). Too much partisan rhetoric in a red part of a roughly purple state.

Are you saying that there is truth in the story that there is or was an armed militia actively hunting down FEMA?? I have watched first hand accounts of people that were providing relief with helicopters, drones and boats that were threatened with jail. What are the lies? How could it be inappropriate for a guy with a helicopter to take a stranded family food and water? A local friend with a plane was going to go help and when he contacted a FBO down there, they said he better not because FEMA was causing serious issues with volunteers trying to help out. As far as families being torn apart over politics........I have no question in my mind that it is by design. Our country was in a good spot in history on race relations until Obama started making it an issue again and the pot has continued to be stirred on that and many other topics ever since. A divided people will fall and will be dependent on help from those in charge. Exactly as designed. We are in a very desperate time in our history. Rome fell, and so could we. We are being divided on race, region, sex, religion, climate and the list goes on and on and it is being driven in a very precise and efficient manner. Sadly, it is working quite well. I wish we weren't hanging our hopes on DJT, but right now it's the horse we have to ride. I hope he does well on a slimy track!
