Red Cross-zero evidence they are around FEMA- nothing until two days ago when an insurance adjuster for progressive had been contacted as a temp FEMA adjuster. Then yesterday there was a guy standing at the church in a FEMA vest and a clipboard just standing there. When we mentioned it to the neighbors around the church they replied with “oh really we haven’t seen them”. They must have left after my sighting as we never saw them again. National Guard-I’ve seen 6 total trucks in the field. 5 were driving the main roads. The last showed up at the group of homes we were working. THEY were looking for who ordered supplies, they didn’t have the name of who ordered the items and THEY were getting pissy with our organization because we didn’t know who ordered the stuff (shovels and propane from what I gathered). Come to find out they were at house 78 and needed house 500. So as they are doing a three point turn they ripped the power lines out of a house and left. They didn’t ask if everyone on that street was good, if they needed anything or how to order assistance. Just left. Now many days you will see the Chinooks fly overhead, and I’ve heard they have dropped supplies in different locations. So again if you think that sitting in your clean, warm house and sending bottled water is all you need to do because our government programs are taking care of everyone and all their needs then YOU clearly are part of the problem.
