Because they are trying to keep the economy alive? If the economy collapses at this point, it's the end of what most of us have come to take for granted. We are not economically weak, the holding of the economy is because Trump does not want to see it completely collapse, as should most of us not want to see that. Unfortunately, it may not be able to be saved. If things don't get back to normal here soon, it doesn't matter how many trillions you throw into it, it's a lost cause.
I'll also ask, do you think unemployment will stay at these numbers if things are opened up in a somewhat orderly fashion? I know a lot of the workers I personally know are more affected by not being allowed to work than they would by the virus being allowed to. I'm going to work amongst hundreds of workers, where a lot of who cannot are 10-20 emoloyee small businesses.

Months? It's been 3 weeks. Is your hatred for Trump so great, that you want to see the collapse of the country to see him out? I honestly believe that is the case for a lot of anti-Trumpers. I whole heartedly believe that the popular voters in this country want to see an economic collapse so someone else can step in. That's a sad state of affairs. What's your conspiracy theory for thinking that investors are not trying to hold out hope that things are, and will be, getting better?
What if China told the truth and US military planted the virus in Wuhan knowing that Trump and his administration knew how to end it. They intentionally set the United States of America into a trial period of Socialism in order to run a campaign against it. Bring the country off from the brink of extinction back to prosperous gains. Why else would the economy have a great week during a horrific period.

All I know is there isn't anyone the Democrats could even wish for let alone run that will get this country back on track like Trump will. . Though he and the GOP better be looking to the future on how to dig out of the debt once people are back to work. Unless this virus caused brain death Trump wins, but this election isn't the one we need to worry about. It's finding the right person for the next round to stay on course. When I say stay on course I mean someone that not only realizes this country is a business but actually loves the country and the constitution. Trump is the only one to fit that bill in a long time. BTW Pence isn't too old he's younger than me, too white ? Good for him. I've never asked people of color to hate themselves for being born darker, they aren't going to tell me to hate myself for being born lighter. Too evangelical? 1st having dealt with China I 1st hand basis, I help them setup Franchise company we sold them. The people lie about everything, it's a part of their culture. So fact we listen to them, does not say much about our leaders. 2nd we were briefed that this was going to be bad, we ignored for two months and we are paying the price.
Great post, I'll say it again the recovery made by this administration has been pretty spectacular. They got a late start, but man look how they have pulled this together. Washington will not need any field hospitals Michigan Won't need it's field hospital California sending out Ventilators out. Two weeks ago this looked pretty grim, it's now looking like will pull out of it. NY is a different animal, will just leave that one as we did the best we could. Well done to Trump, Pence and the task force.

You said I did not include your whole post when I quoted it, I did but what was not included you added in later. Your intial post that I responded to was showing a near record dow week, which is still nearly 6,000 points down, highlighted with unemployment numbers. We've had a butting of heads in the past, going back to the 2016 election. I've yet to see you say anything positive on Trump, yet you say you like him a lot. I tend to see it similar to a lefty stating "I support the second amendment, but..." or similar. I don't take these things personally and try my best not to make them personal. If you feel I did, I apologize. Kinda like with Germ and the lemming thing, I find it hilarious at times because he often parrots other outlets while claiming the same for a lemming, hence my polly want a cracker posts a time or two in the past. A few days back he was making a similar claim stating that everyone calls him a left leaner or something of the like. My take is, had I lost my bet with him on the Browns making the playoffs, I would have donated to Bernie's campaign, not some independent or Biden, but the socialist of the group.
