Kennedy is a Democrat. His true supporters would never vote for Trump. The only reason he’s running as an Independent candidate is because he had zero chance to campaign for the Democratic Party nomination because of Harris’ “placement” as the nominee. As far as voters who are truly in the middle or right-leaning voting for Kennedy, I really don’t understand it because it’s basically a wasted vote. The man simply can’t win. Still, people will vote for him because they don’t like Trump. It’s baffling to me. A vote isn’t a valentine saying you love the candidate. It’s a chess move in a game where the outcome is the future of the country you want to live in. But hey, it’s their vote and they can cast it however they like.
