I almost said that is the dumbest proposal I’ve ever heard, but then remembered we were talking about the federal government and realized that they’ve come up with worse. But still $25,000 to essential workers is a pipe dream. Where do they plan to draw the line? Me and my employees are considered essential workers, but we are an insurance agency - what about our job entitles us to $25k for going to work. The fact that we can continue working is enough for us. Even if you were to limit it to medical staff only or first responders only then what about the guys at the gas station selling fuel so they can get to those jobs; they are also one customers cough away from getting it. Or the grocery store people - they’re not only helping feed the medical workers, but everyone who is sick or who is not sick. But if you include those guys you’ve gotta include the truck drivers, the meat processing plants, farmers, etc. by the time you get done you’re just going to be giving everybody a check for $25k. I mean really if you think about it, the only job that doesn’t contribute in some way, shape, or form to keeping the average citizen fed is a congressman. And there is no way they’re not going to set aside some for each of themselves to get their cut; and I am sure their cut will include a couple more zeros on the end than the $25,000 they’re proposing to give to everyone else.

Well technically California was already a disaster wayyyy before some Chinaman decided to eat a dang Bat and start the apocalypse... But I do agree that I expected that normal California disaster plus Coronavirus would be far worse than it is so far.
I just can’t buy all this talk about how complex and complicated ventilators are to design and build. They’re essentially a low pressure air pump with some control logic that pushes a measured amount of air into to your lungs then stops lets it out and repeats. I realize there is a little bit more to it than that and they need to have high reliability, adjustable flow, failure alarms, and various safeties and it’s probably best if they don’t go around spraying compressor oil all up in your lungs but at the end of the day they’re just not that complicated of a machine. I mean the manual human powered version is literally just a face mask, a pair of one-way valves, and a bag you squeeze with your hand. Not that hard of a process to automate. Give me some duct tape, plastic piping, and an assistant who knows how to program computer code and I could probably convert my robot vacuum into one in a couple hours, heck probably even get it to drive itself from one patient to the next so long as nobody leaves a phone cord or a t-shirt laying on the ground for it to get hung up on.
What's even funnier os when the Dr. that gives the number uodate and medical reports retells it in Spanish he leaves the image and no one replaces him. Deaf Spanish people may not know what is going on.
When MN gov Walz did his first initial virus press conference he had a sign language "individual" not sure what gender identified as but between the haircut and the hardware in the face and swaying like Ray Charles it was pretty funny.
Take a listen to this. Minnesota clearly inflating the number of deaths. “SHOCKING: MN Sen & Dr. @drscottjensen said that he received a 7 pg doc from @mnhealth to fill out death certificates with a diagnosis of #COVID-19 whether the person actually died from COVID-19 or not. Why is #MN inflating COVID-19 death numbers?” https://twitter.com/chrisbergpovnow/status/1247680994821509121?s=21 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
